Please READ everything below before putting a bid in. This car was recently damaged underneath, a chunk of bridge on the New York State Thruway was vibrated up and into the road, and did some damage to the undercarriage. There was no check engine light, prior to, or after the accident (its on in the picture because it's on battery only). This was considered a total loss by the insurance, because of the mileage and year, however it's easily fixable, and an able bodied mechanic can turn this into a daily driver for sub $2k, anyone that knows a good mechanic can do it for under $3k easily. I am selling it because they will not allow me to carry comprehensive insurance any longer on the vehicle, even if it's repaired, and as a rule I only carry comprehensive because I drive a lot. Attached is the (rather inflated) insurance estimate The following parts need to be replaced, or repaired. Transmission pan, subframe, Radiator Support, muffler needs rewelding and a bracket near the front. All the damage is in the pictures above. The transmission should be fine, It was running after the accident, but I brought it to an immediate stop, and turned the car off. It was not written up as damaged, just the pan. It still runs and starts, but the transmission is drained dry, and cannot be driven until the pan is fixed. Parts will run about $400-$450 for a used subframe (from here on ebay was $150), with everything else new, and a day or less worth of work with a good mechanic and perhaps an assistant. Prior to this, it was my it was my daily driver. Because I have to drive 200 miles a day from Whitesboro to Albany for work and back, I had to maintain this in excellent running condition. It just had the following replaced a week before the accident. New Tires, Front Ball joints, Lower Control Arms, Flex Pipe, and front bearings. The rear bearings and brakes were replaced back in April. Over $1500 in parts, and labor easily. I have also replaced the battery, and sway bar links longer than the past year. Again, ALL damage is in the pictures, the other side does not contain rust, scratches, etc. I did smoke in this car, and I do have children, so there are some spills, stains, burns, etc, although I did regularly clean and vacuum it. I have an extra set of Rims, with snow tires (2 are good, 2 are chopped and need replacing) at my house, a set of tie rods, and tie rod ends (told they weren't necessary so I never replaced), and the hubcaps. These parts are at my house and need to be picked up separately from the car. THE CAR NEEDS TO BE PICKED UP IN SYRACUSE, NY FROM COPART, and MUST BE TOWED, to avoid damage to transmission.
