Vehicle Detail

Here is a unique opportunity to own a vintage Vespa Touren 125, with a complete and verifiable history. Before getting into bike condition specifics, it's important to give a quick rundown on this bike's past. Two brothers from the US traveled to Europe with the intent of purchasing motor scooters, then travelling the continent. They both purchased Vespa's at Fendler & Ludemann, in Hamburg Germany. While there, they purchased racks, fairings, and spare wheels before setting off on their adventure around Europe. After the trip, both brothers opted to ship the scooters back home to Seattle Washington, from Lisbon. Upon returning home, one brother sold his Vespa, the other kept his. The surviving scooter of the two then lived throughout the PNW (between WA and ID), and was last licensed in 1983. This scooter is from the brother that opted to not sell upon returning to the states.I have all paperwork to verify this story, from the original dealer paperwork, service records from the trip while in Europe, and import/export paperwork. And I have a clear Idaho title (in original owners name) for the Vespa. The Vespa is in very good condition, as it was stored inside. The engine turns over and shifts through the gears, cables are operable, brakes function, and gas tank is in workable condition (needs cleaning). There is no major rust anywhere on the body. There is damage from an off on the front of the body where it surrounds the steering column (seen in photos). The bike comes with all accessories and spare parts noted in photos. This includes a rare dual saddle with no rips or tears, front fairing, multiple spare wheels, front and rear racks, very cool front hubcap and box of spare parts. In an effort to preserve the scooter, I have not personally done any repair or investigation into why the Vespa doesn't run. I am leaving this to someone with a more intimate knowledge of these old Vespa's than myself. That said, I doubt you will come across a nicer 1963 Vespa Touren 125, with a verifiable history since new, in the future. You are welcome to come view the scooter in person in Tacoma, WA. The scooter is available for free pickup here. Or if shipping, you must arrange shipping for Vespa, and your shipper must pick up from me in Tacoma, WA. I cannot deliver the Vespa to a shipper, unless we make prior arrangements, where you will be required to pay me for my time delivering bike to shipper as well. Please contact myself with any questions. Thanks. Note, all accessories and documents photographed are included with sale. I can box accessories and paperwork separately, and ship these, at buyers expense. Or, if your shipper for the scooter can pick them up with the bike, that is fine as well. Vespa sold as is, no warranties or guarantees stated or implied. On Jul-12-18 at 10:40:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Also note, the steering lock key is present in the steering lock, and the steering lock is functional. I noted that this wasn't photographed. Can provide additional photos if requested, thanks.
