Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 2001 Triumph Legend TT 900cc Matt Black (Bonneville predecessor) motorcycle. I got it last winter and before this riding season, a family member sold me his bike on the cheap when he upgraded (thanks tax returns). I never laid the bike down and really enjoyed the ride for the short time I had it. The bike will need to be picked up in person - no freight shipping. The bike comes with the following items (see pictures):Full windshieldHalf (sport) windshieldChrome lights, horn, and faringSissy bar (not pictured)Naturally, it is as-is condition and it has a NY title and passes inspection. I don't have a mechanical background but here is a write-up that a former owner listed (not the person I brought it from in 2017). Below is a copy from a prev listing by a former owner (you can search on the VIN). I am not liable for the text in that area - it is for your reference. This was an owner between this post and myself. This is a great bike and a ton of fun to ride, it corners really well and is well suited to the winding PA roads. It is a great bike for a learner as it is light and easy to handle, but has enough power to keep a rider interested. I purchased this bike in IL a few years ago, but didn't ride it much due to traveling for work and having another bike. When my wife got her license she rode it with me a few times, but shortly after getting her license she got pregnant with our first child and it has not really been ridden much since that. Brought the bike with me to PA, but with the kid I need to clear out some garage space. I bought this bike initally for myself and setup it up as a cafe racer, but I later added a full Plexifaring 3 windshield and put the standard style bars back on for my wife to ride it. You get both setups. Cafe setup includes original Triumph cafe faring, black rubber racing grips, rubber Triumph tank shields, and cafe mirrors. Everything else is as seen in the pictures. The tank and fenders are painted flat black which goes well with the factory black powder coat, but the original color is dark green. There is some damage to the paint on the tank from where the straps rubbed during the trip from IL, but a quick buff and a rattle can will fix it up, I just don't have the time to do it. There is a low sissy bar on the back with a rack and the seat is in very good shape with no cracking, tears or discoloration. Front and rear turn signals have "smoked" lenses as part of the blacked out look. Bike is used and has normal wear and a little chrome spotting, but is overall in very good shape. The bike has never been laid down or had any damage that I am aware of (bought it used) other than the paint rubbing from the straps. I purchased this bike from the original owner and it has always been kept in a climate controlled garage. Bike has not seen much road time since in the past year, but it starts fine as long as it is either run once a week or kept on a drip charger. Usually doesn't need any choke unless it is pretty cold (below 30 degrees) out. Battery was replaced two years ago and has been kept on a charger. CDI box was replaced and carb was completely rebuilt last June. Tires are in pretty good shape, should have another 2 seasons in them with normal riding. All in all the bike has been a very good and fun bike with minimal issues. Everything you see in the pictures is what you get.
