I have a very original Chevrolet k30 1 ton 4x4 crew cab dually. This is a ex fire truck that was recently taken out of service. This 1983 chevy 4x4 has what i believe to be 19,000 original miles. It sports the original big block 454 engine, the 400 turbo hydromatic automatic transmission with the indestructible np205 cast iron transfer case. The front axle is the very desirable dana 60. Dually rear axle as well. I believe it has the 4.10 gear ratios. This truck runs great, with a minor exhaust manifold leak. This truck is very solid, but yes, does have some minor issues. There is a couple rust areas. Both inner fender wells have typical rust, the inside of the door jams does have some surface rust bubbling and blistering up. The two front doors and inside rocker step tread areas are the worst on the entire truck. The outer rockers, cab corners cab floor supports and floor pans are in great shape. There is a tear on the drivers side of the front seat. Previous owner did put duct tape on it to cover this area. The rubber floor mat does have wear from feet as well. This truck has alot of red lights installed and i believe nearly all of them work. There is a couple lights on the rear carry all-bumper that are not working currently. The contractors service body on this truck is in very good shape. I had hoped to remove the box and install a flat bed or a dually pick up box on it. Unfortunately, dreams are bigger than reality. The wheel base on this truck is 164.5 inches. This is a standard wheel base so it will allow you to put a normal 8' pick up box bed on it. Please, take the time to look at the pictures. I did delete the other listing so there wouldnt be any confusion. Also, the tires on the truck are all nearly new, at least 95% tread left.
