Vehicle Detail
RELISTED due to a buyer that decided to never return my calls after he realized the truck was in Pennsylvania and they lived in Florida. The truck is located in Glenside, Pa 19038 just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Please take this into consideration when making offers. Buy It Now price is set to about where it ended with the previous auction. Up for sale is our family's 2002 Chevy Suburban. It is a good truck, just we have no need for it anymore as we are not hauling the kids and their stuff around as we once did. Since the last inspection we only put about 3,000 miles on the odometer and last year was about the same, so it's time to go. This was the loaded model with leather, all options and a 5.3 liter flex fuel engine. When we bought it was pretty clean and remained as such, we try to take care of our cars. This is a no reserve auction, top bidder wins. $500 deposit due at the close of the auction, for PA buyers we have a title company close by and can take care of title at the time of sale. I'll try to list all that I can remember on what I know, and I will update this as needed if things come up with questions asked or I forgot something. Feel free to call me about coming to test drive it and look it over closely. Call or text me at 215-694-7002. This is a used truck and is explained to the best of my knowledge, but it is USED and sold as-is with no warranty or guarantee. It has scuffs, scratches, dings, dents and rust from age, use and life. Please don't mistake this for a new car. There will be minor defects that I don't list here as the list could be pages long. I strongly encourage buyers to look at a vehicle BEFORE buying. The major positives and negatives are listed below. The good: Just inspected 7/2019 and oil changed. Passed with flying colors.Just replaced the driver's power mirror and the switch. Someone broke the mirror mount in a parking lot(thank you, whoever you are)... Switch was done at same time, was flaky.New alternator in the past 1-2 years, new battery at same time.New front shocks about 2 years ago.Water pump replaced 2-3 years ago. New windshield installed this year. Just had truck cleaned, detailed and waxed.New tires about 2 years ago, with less than 10k miles on themHad the brakes replaced, done in the past 2 years, can't remember front or rear.Intake plenum was replaced 5? years ago. Apparently a common factory problem causing engine misfire on the highway. Fixed now. Last year we replaced all of the speakers and the factory subwoofer. They were all buzzing. Sounds great now.All power options work well, power seats, seat heaters, windows, sunroof. The Bad:A/C compressor went last year. Had it replaced 3-4 years ago. Shop told us that it needed another one.Airbag light comes on intermittently. Shop said it was driver's door sensor if I recall correct. They said to let it go.ABS light comes on intermittently. Shop said it was one of the front wheel sensors if I recall correct. They said to let it go unless we wanted to replace whole hub assembly.Passenger rear door window just started sticking. Wiggle the switch and it works. There are 2 dents in the body. Passenger rear door and passenger rear quarter. See picsThere it a little rust that just started to pop out right in front of the rear wheel wells on either side. Hard to notice, but I took pics for reference. The clear coat on the paint has started to come off. Worst on the roof and hood, starting on the sides, tried to have it cleared to stop it, but it is not a permanent fix. Engine uses oil. It has a minor oil leak that we never fixed. It could be this. Since we have owned this it has used about a quart of oil for every 1000 miles. It does not blow smoke or stink. Had the shop look it over a long time ago and we were told this can be normal for some Chevy V8 engines. It has remained a constant as we have owned it, just got used to it. When the oil light comes on, add a quart. On May-18-18 at 06:51:47 PDT, seller added the following information: This item was brought up by someone with a question. The report says that it was involved in an accident. It was involved in a rear end fender bender shortly after we got it. Look closely at the rear bumper there are 2 small dents in the chrome right and left of the license plate. They are almost symmetrical. I asked for a police report of the accident since I had little kids in the truck at the time, I guess this is why it showed up. Damage is so minor, I never had it repaired and actually didn't even notice it ever again. The truck was never to my knowledge involved in a front end collision. Drives straight and doesn't pull.
