Up for sale is a one of kind 1988 Chevy Astro passenger van with no RSVP so bid to win. This is one of the nicest Astro's I have had the pleasure of owning but it is time to let her go. I have been using this van for marketing with my mobile detailing business and it is time to upgrade to a larger vehicle. (Equipment show in pictures is NOT included in the sale) I am the third owner of this van and believe the mileage to be true an original at less than 50k original miles. The mileage as of 5.30.18 is 49,263 and it will continue to go up as this is used for work. I purchased the van in PA from a gentleman that bought the van from the PA state police department. The back story was that it was used as a D.A.R.E unit for the PA police department and then placed in storage for close to 10 years. I do believe the story to be true as you can still see the outline of the dare stickers on some areas of the vehicle if you look very closely. It also has three holes on each side of the front part of the roof that appear to be were the siren was affixed. Additionally, it also has a second antenna in the middle of the roof. The van has been professionally lowered three inches in the rear and two in the front and rides extremely smooth for a lowered vehicle. It does not have that bumpy / jolty feel as many lowered vehicle do when the suspension has been cut or chopped. This lowering job was done properly. I have comfortably driven this van half a dozen time from Atlanta to D.C. (over 1200 miles round trip) without any problems or concerns. I would not hesitate to take this vehicle across country if I needed to. It starts first time every time, drives straight, transmission shift promptly and smoothly, brake engage quickly, and has plenty of power to cruise comfortably. I currently have the van set up as a cargo van but it is a true passenger van. The cargo mat shown in the photos will come with the van. I have the two rear matching seats that will come with the van as well as the original carpet. The rear seats are in excellent condition as well as the carpet. Replaced or added over the last six months 1. 225/60/15 Tires with less than 5k miles2. Muffler3. Brake pads4. Brake Master Cylinder5. Alternator6. Battery7. Radiator hoses8. Serpentine Belt9. 20% tint all the way around Needs: 1. Cruise control does not work2. Bright lights are intermittent when turning on. ( I believe the switch needs to be replaced or has a short in it)3. AC needs service, not just charging. The compressor will kick on when charging but I believe there is a leak somewhere that needs attention.4. Business logos on windows will be removed prior to pick up. (seen in photo with the RV)5. Paint has some minor chips that need to be touched up. 6. The van is due for an oil change and tire rotation in about 500 miles. I will have this completed for the buyer prior to pick up.
