Vehicle Detail

1958 Dodge Sierra Station Wagon I purchased this wagon eight years ago and had it shipped in from Globe Arizona. My niece lives there and that is how I found it. The car was all original when I purchased it and had been parked since 1973. After I had the car delivered to me some things changed and I knew I would not give the car the care and work that it deserved. I donated the car to a nationally known automotive technical school for the students to work on and learn from. My understanding from talking to folks over the years they were going to use the car to haul their drag racing cars around to different shows and venues. Fast forward eight years. The school I donated it to it's shutting it doors along with other campuses across the country. I find out the car is still titled in my name and is available to me. I went and picked the car up and am now placing it for sale. Over that span of time the following work has been done. Front passenger side floor pan has been worked on, rear cargo area floor has been replaced. The motor and transmission have been taken out and are not with the car ( I'm sure most of us have seen new Hemi crate motors installed in these old cars in less than an hour on TV. Like that's ever going to happen) There is no radiator or driveshaft. The rear spring mounting area has been modified to adjust the ride height. The car is rock solid as well as the floor and frame. All of the trim and bright work is there. The car has been painted by the students and looks good. It does need a good wet sand and buff. Front disc brakes have been added and the seats have been reupholstered. New door panels come with the car as well. Those items were also done by the students. There is no carpet or headliner. All surrounding interior trim is with the car. It is missing some interior door and window handles. All glass is good and clear with minor fogging on the lower windshield corners and lower rear side glass. I can not get the tailgate to open but the rear window goes up and down with ease. There is no buy it now or end the auction early price because quite honestly I do not know what the car is worth in it's current condition. No reserve. It's a rust free example of the swept wing era of mopar history. Use it as a donor for your "original" wagon or make it your "original" cruise night drag queen. Buyer is responsible for transport costs and keep in mind there is no motor or transmission in the car. The car steers and rolls with ease.On May-30-18 at 07:24:55 PDT, seller added the following information:
