Vehicle Detail
1988 Pontiac Fiero GT Black with gray leather interior 8,106 miles Excellent condition Reluctantly I’m auctioning off my 1988 Fiero. I bought this car about almost two years ago with anticipation of cruising it to some car shows but I never seem to have time. Other than cranking it about once a month the car just seems to sit. Car has been completely trouble free for me. I have done nothing but change the oil and keep the car washed and waxed. I purchased the car from an elderly gentleman in Florida who took it to car shows. He claimed to have won several shows with it. Car is in completely stock condition. The previous owner along with regular maintenance had the AC system converted to R-134 and it blows ice cold. He went through the brakes and other routine maintenance documented in the paperwork that will come with the car. Paint is in excellent condition for a 30-year-old car. There are minor imperfections from normal driving but no deep scratches, cracking paint, or dents of any kind. I can find no evidence of paint work on the car and all VIN tags appear to be in place. Sail panels are perfect. Tail lights are excellent with no delamination. I have kept the car clean, and covered in the garage. Interior is in extremely nice condition. Power windows, locks, mirrors, and everything else in the car works. All gauges function as they should. Both seats look brand new as well as all the trim and dash. If your familiar with Fieros you know the interior components started losing their shape before they ever got off the lot. This one looks perfect. Even the original floor mats are in excellent condition. Check out the pictures for yourself. You will likely never see one as nice. Original tires were dry rotted from age so were replaced by the previous owner and are practically new. Rims are in excellent condition with no oxidation or paint peel. No curb rash. Headlights function as new. Engine compartment is all original and unmolested. Trunk carpet shows as new. Car has obviously been a garage queen its whole life. I doubt it has ever seen rain judging by the appearance. Car drives as new. Brakes work great and transmission shifts smoothly. Starts immediately with no hesitation. Handles great and is an absolute blast to drive. Car has enough miles on it you can still drive it to a local show without worrying over every single mile but still low enough to be a true collector. It has had mature owners and has been responsibly cared for. This is one of only 6,849 1988 GT’s ever produced. How many 88’ GT’s are left out there with 8,000 miles on them? As I’m sure you know the 1988 received a new suspension along with other improvements over the previous years. They finally got it right but unfortunately it was the last year for a great car. I have a folder with some paperwork from the previous owner. Car has a clear title in my name. It came with a bra and mirror covers. I have never had them on the car but will include with the sale. I’m not the best photographer but let me now if you would like any other specific pictures of the car and I’ll do my best to get them to you. As you can see from my feedback I take all my eBay business very seriously. I pride myself on being very honest and transparent on anything I sell. If anything I’d rather be over critical. As with anything I sell if you show up and feel like the car has been misrepresented I’ll refund your deposit minus listing fees and you can be on your way. This is a 30-year-old car so there is no warranty. Feel free to come inspect prior to the end of the auction. Please have funds ready. I will require a $500 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment will be due within 7 days. Cashier’s check or cash are accepted forms of payment. I will work with you to make the car available for you to pick up or a shipper that you have lined up. Car is in Tellico Plains, TN. I may be able to assist with enclosed delivery within a day’s drive for compensation of expenses but only after full payment has been received. Please only bid if you have funds in hand. Sure I’m forgetting a lot of things but just ask if you have any questions. Good luck. Someone is going to very proud to own this amazing car. I’ll hate to see it go. If you wish you can message me with your phone number and I can call to discuss the car. Thanks for viewing my auction!---------------------------------------------5/16 - To answer a few questions: The interior is about as close to new as you will find. I can't say enough about how nice it is. The paint is in great shape but it is a 30 year old paint job done by Pontiac on an assembly line. There are marks on the front from bugs and road debris and maybe a faint mark here or there. I know the car could be buffed to a whole new level but I don't trust myself with power tools on paint. I've seen what others have done and it can yield better than new results. Just being very critical of a really nice car and want people to manage their expectations of a 30 year old paint job. From ten feet this car looks brand new! Better than that mini van you bought for your wife last year. Feel free to come check it out yourself. Everything on the car works to my knowledge. Power windows, locks, ,mirrors, trunk latch, AC, all work fine. I do have a picture of the options list under the front hood if you would like to see it. You won't find another one with this mileage and this nice even close to this price. You won't go anywhere without a constant parade of people admiring it. If it doesn't sell it goes back under the cover to enjoy at a later date. I'm already having second thoughts about letting it go.....
