I currently have a 1991 Lotus Elan M100 that I am selling. There were a total of 3,855 Elan’s built with 539 of these vehicles Federal certified for the US market and only 117 delivered to California specifications. This Elan was built by General Motors in England and is federal certified to meet US EPA emission requirements; although it may or may not meet California emission requirements. The car currently has 75,200 miles and is overall in fair to good condition. I just purchased new tires and battery, and it was recently repainted. The engine is strong and starts right away, transmission shift smooth and drives great, leather seats are in very good condition with no rips or tears. There is plenty of brake pad remaining. The car had been sitting up for a long time in an environmentally controlled warehouse for around 10 years. Here are some of the negatives: The radio does not work; although the CD does, the fuel sending unit needs replacing, the passenger side window does not work, the ac does not get cold, the seals to the top needs replacing; but the top is in good condition with no rips or tears. There are a few small paint nicks at the door edges and other minor things needing attention. I can send more details photo of the car if you are interested.
