1971 Triumph Bonneville

Truly excellent condition survivor. Chrome and paint are all super nice. This bike was off the road since 1976 and stored in a heated basement until I purchased it from the original owner, 2 years ago. (Pictures are from then) I took it home, cleaned it up a bit and put it back in heated storage at my parent's home. Last Sept, I freed up the clutch, replaced the petcocks and fuel lines, rebuilt the carbs, changed all engine, tranny fluids (twice!), oiled the cylinders and down the valves, turned her over a few times, cleaned out the fuel tank, added a new battery, some fresh fuel, new plugs, a little tickle and kicked it over. I was prepared to kick for a while but the dang thing started right up after a few kicks. All electrics, lights, horns etc. work. Took it for a few short rides around the block, all worked well with plenty of power but I did not want to push the original tires, although they do look new, too. I was planning on registering & riding it this year, but I lost my storage. I do not have a garage at my home and the wife won't let me put it in my living room, believe me I tried. Still needs timing (original points) done and fine tuning of carbs and clutch, but I do have a video available from when I started it, last fall, so you can see it run. I have the original tool kit, but a tool or two may be missing, the original battery (if you want it) original owner's manual and copy of the workshop manual and parts catalog. Also included is a new leak proof seal kit to replace the original as the forks are leaking a bit. I have the transferable registration from the previous owner, so whoever purchases this will be the official second owner. Inspection is strongly encouraged, although as nice as it is, it is still a 47 year old bike. Any shipping needed will be the sole responsibility of the buyer, but I can help load it onto a truck.
