Up for sale is a 1948 Jeep Willys. I have had the jeep for over a year but I have no time to work on it so its time to sell it.When I bought the jeep it ran nut needed carb work and there was no brakes. Carb has been rebuilt and there is a new master cylinder that needs put on. My intentions were to paint it OD Green so I have a gallon on paint to go with it. We drove the jeep on the trailer when we bought it so I know it will run. The transmission works as does the 4 wheel drive. There is an extra transmission for it and I do have a partial exhaust. I am not sure how good the alternator is. There is a push button start with a key for juice but the key would not shut it off so possibly a 1 wire alternator would work better. The motor is a simple 4 cylinder flat head. The points and condensor are good but I have another set for it if it does need replaced down the road. The tires are going to need replaced. The front two are severely weathered and will not hold air beyond a day. the back tires seem to hold air but they too are weathered. There was no gas tank when we bought it. a jug was used to hold the gas and lines ran to the carb. It does need a lot of work but for someone who has time, it will be a good project. There is a rubber mat over the back end because the floor there is all rusted. The seats will also need re-covered. I have a parts book for the jeep and I also have a couple parts catalogs for a willys jeep company that sells everything you will need to fix it up. The vin plate on the firewall is also missing but it has a second vin plate and it is still there with the numbers listed.
