Vehicle Detail
Hello lovers of fine German vehicles! Up for sale is my 2006 E55 AMG sedan with 79,000 original miles. 2006 was the last year of the M113k supercharged motor in the W211 body, and this is one of the cleanest unmodified examples currently on the market. I’ve owned this car for 2.5 years, and it has been my dream car; but unfortunately the time has come to say goodbye to “The Beast”. Car is black on black with panoramic roof, dynamic seats, and convenience access package. Original MSRP on the car was $83,000 (per title), so this was a pretty heavily optioned E55. Exterior wise: paint is in amazing shape for a 12 year old car. Car has spent all its life in CA, NV, and AZ- so there is NO RUST anywhere! Paint is shiny all around and looks fantastic (look at the pictures). The wheels are the 19 inch SL65 rims on 245/35/19 front tires, and 275/30/19 rear tires; tires are almost brand new with over 95% of the thread left. There are no exterior modifications of any kind. Car is 100% original externally. All of the lights work, all indicators work, and all of the exterior trim is in mint condition (check the pictures). There are almost no dents anywhere on the car. There are usual stone chips on the front bumper and grill but nothing major. All glass is original and is in great shape. No cracks or dings in the windshield.Interior wise: interior is as close to flawless as you can get. Interior pattern is black leather with dark wood trim. The leather is in phenomenal shape all around, so are the door cards, dashboard, headliner, and buttons. Interior trim color- Dark Wood is also very rare and looks phenomenal; I constantly receive compliments about it. There is almost no wear on the passenger front seat and rear seats- I am not sure that previous owners have ever used them at all. Driver’s seat shows some wear on the bolsters, but it is miniscule for the age of the car (again, look at the pictures). Even the floor mats are in great shape and show little wear all around. All of the interior functions work: heated and cooled seats, seat motors, massage, interior “night lights”, all power windows, panoramic roof, AC front/back, navigation, CD changer, keyless go, rear window privacy shade, automatic rear headrest drop, tilting and telescoping wheel, cruise control etc.Mechanicals: the car has 79,000 original miles and has no modifications of any kind except for CM30 intercooler pump. I installed the CM30 shortly after the acquisition of the car as factory Bosch pumps seem to be less reliable. Car runs great, engine idles smooth, transmission shifts good, and there are no leaks of any kind. A/C blows cold, heater blows hot. Airmatic is in great condition, car did not drop one inch when I left it parked to go on a 2 week vacation last December. Brakes have 40% left on the front pads and around 70% left on the rear pads. Tires are almost brand new and have 95% of the thread left. There are no mechanical or drive-ability issues with the car, I would not hesitate to drive the car cross country!Maintenance history: I have the receipts for ALL of the work done to the car while it was in my possession. Oil has been changed annually with Mobil 1 0w40 European formula oil, fleece filter and two drain plugs on every change. Air filters have been changed when I purchased the car (8k miles ago). Interior cabin filter have been changed when I purchased the car (8k miles ago). Intercooler pump has been replaced with CM30 pump in October of 2015. Transmission cooler, and transmission fluid have been changed by the shop at 72,500 miles in September of 2015. Coolant has been changed by the shop at 72,500 miles in September of 2015 and by me in December of 2017. Power steering fluid has been changed by me in December of 2016 via sucking up the old fluid and pouring in the same amount of new fluid three times with CHF 11S fluid. Windshield wipers have been replaced in December of 2016. Main and auxiliary batteries have been changed in August of 2017. Alternator has been replaced by the shop with genuine Bosch alternator in February of 2018. PREVIOUS owner replaced the Battery Control Module (BCM), I do not have receipt for this. Tires have 95% thread left, tires are Nankang NS20; 245/35/19 front, and 275/30/19 rear; factory size for the 19 inch wheels. The car has only been ran on Chevron with Techron 91 gasoline, and had a bottle of Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner added to the tank annually as a preventative measure.Issues & full disclosure: Car has the AZ Restored-Salvaged title. I bought it with restored-salvaged title from the previous owner in NV. Based on my own and shop inspections the car was in the frontal collision where passenger front side of the car was hit; collision damage only. Car has been repaired and sold to the previous owner in NV. He owned the car for two years before selling it to me. Car has been driving with salvaged title for 5 years now with no adverse effects. Car has passed AZ smog twice in my possession and shows no adverse driving issues. SRS light is on; it has been on since I bought the car. It appears to be either tied to the sensor or something related to the collision repair; I did not bother chasing this rabbit as this did not bother me. The steering wheel up/down buttons for the transmission do not work, tilting the shift lever to manually shift the transmission – works and all transmission modes work via the C/S/M button; I did not bother trying to fix this, as I suspect this is also tied to the original collision repair. Driver’s side front wheel has some curb rash and a few missing decorative rivets (please see driver’s side photo); does not affect the drivability. Front bumper appears to be slightly out of alignment with the passenger front fender; this appeared after the bumper was off in September of 2015 for transmission cooler replacement. Front grill and front bumper have some rock chips from the freeway driving. Motor mounts will need replacing eventually, as they were noted as potential “do later” item by the shop when they were replacing the alternator this February. Car only comes with one key (full books are included, manual etc in the leather case). That is all I can think of. I am nit picking, but I am trying to disclose everything to the new buyer, so you have 100% accurate picture of the car you are buying! Please ask me any questions before bidding!
