Vehicle Detail

Original and unrestored, this 1966 Bridgestone has not been running for 35 years, until now. This bike was given to me by my father 35 years ago. (he owned it for the previous 5 years) I road the bike a couple times, then it ended up in the corner of my garage in storage. I owned other motorcycles and this one did not get used. I decided to clean it up and sell it after all these years. It cleaned up well, runs good, and looks really good for it's age. It has the original "Bridgestone Motorcycle Tires", which are in surprisingly nice shape and the original seat, which has a repair on the left side, but in nice shape as well. The inside of the gas tank is clean. The fuel cock is a new aftermarket piece, it works but is not original. The lights and the horn work. It is missing the exhaust baffles/extensions and it needs a battery of course. Otherwise it looks to be complete. I partially disassembled the bike to clean it by removing the wheels and fenders. I checked the brake shoes at that time and there is plenty of brake left. Adjusted the brakes, chain etc. during reassembly. Cleaned the carbs, changed the gearbox oil, lubed the cables, replaced the ignition points and set the timing. It started on the third kick. I road it briefly around the neighborhood , it's a fun little bike. Ahhh the smell of a 2 stroke running brings back a lot of memories. The four rubber intake boots are cracked and should be replaced, the center stand needs to be repaired, there is a oil drip coming from the injection pump, and as I mentioned earlier it needs a battery. There is light pitting on most of the chrome and the paint has scratches in it. (It's an old bike). I do not have a title for this bike. My dad never transferred it and it is long gone. I have described this machine to the best of my knowledge and memory. If I missed anything, let me know. Although it is in nice shape, it is 52 years old and is sold as is. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. $500 PayPal deposit required by the winning bidder, the balance due at pickup. Any questions just ask. Thanks for looking.
