You are bidding on a 1970 Mercury Cougar that was purchased new by our uncle in 1970. This still has its original 351 Cleveland 2V and C6 Automatic transmission. This is a Standard Hard Top with manual roll up windows and non power lock doors.It has the Console Floor shifter and Bucket seats. With its options this is perfect to build an Eliminator Clone. We have the original Bill of Sale from the dealer!This Cougar was tastefully optioned similar to an Eliminator and also has a few Rare options. Original Options include:Very Rare Paint option Dark Maroon with Black Interior Disc Brakes , Sport Suspension , Traction Loc (Posi)Air Conditioning , Power Steering . The Cougar has a Clean California Title and is currently registered . The car was driven periodically up until a year ago but is still road worthy. The headlights pop up perfectly and the rear taillights work when they want (appears to have a ground issues). The trunk area is in great shape with no rust and has the original mat and tools . Also included was a box of spare parts and the original fender trim. The car was babied for many years but over the last 10 years or so it has started to get away from us and why we have chosen to put it for sale. There is Rust in a few places like the deck lid and Passenger side rear door pillar. The under side floor boards , sub frame and rockers are rust free. The car never had a vinyl roof and its in perfect condition. The front left fender has a small dent , the right rear quarter has been hit and can be repaired , it does not appear to be affecting the deck lid line. We took many pictures but nothing is better than seeing it on Video there is 8 minutes of footage and you can even hear that 351 running perfectly !!We can ship this car worldwide and can obtain shipping quotes.
