Vehicle Detail

I am offering my beloved BMW R69/S with a new Steib S500 sidecar. I bought the bike in March of 2011 with original paint and in running condition. Soon afterward I added the electronic regulator, electronic ignition, new exhaust all ordered from Germany. After using it as a daily rider for several years I thought it would be fun to add a Steib sidecar. The sidecar shipped from Blue Moon in primer, and I had a local professional paint shop strip it, epoxy prime, paint, and hand stripe it to match the bike. The motorcycle then received sidecar heavy duty springs, new rear shocks, tapered steering head bearing, a stainless brake rod, square profile metzelers, etc to run the sidecar. Life caught up and I never finished dialing it all in. Fast forward a few years and I wanted to ride just the motorcycle so I put on brand new road tires, ultrasonic cleaned the fuel system, new rubber bits, cloth covered fuel lines etc. That was last summer, and it is now winterized. The AMAZING mirror-like paint on the sidecar really makes the old motorcycle look terrible. The new owner should expect to paint the bike and replace more of the rusty fasteners and rubber bits. It’s sad to see this one go- last one out of my 25 motorcycle collection, and this one was my favorite. With countless hours and over $20k invested, the buyer will be getting a terrific deal.On Feb-25-18 at 14:40:22 PST, seller added the following information: Currently has wider sidecar style handlebars on it, brand new. Will gladly ship anywhere in the world. On Feb-25-18 at 19:18:02 PST, seller added the following information: The vinyl in the seat of the sidecar is the new tonneau cover for the Steib. On Feb-26-18 at 07:42:41 PST, seller added the following information: Matching numbers, see photosOn Feb-26-18 at 09:05:05 PST, seller added the following information: The mirrors and handlebars currently on the bike are shown in the photo with the old land rover in the background. There is a small crack in the front ignition cover aluminum casting. When I replaced the kickstand after taking off the sidecar I didn’t get it shimmed to work properly. I have been using the centerstand. On Feb-26-18 at 09:07:45 PST, seller added the following information: New throttle and brake cables 2017On Mar-02-18 at 16:08:52 PST, seller added the following information: One of the little screws that holds on the right tank badge is broken off.The steering damper isn’t on the bike but I will incude it if I can find it! It doesn’t work. The air pump is on the bike but it’s probably seized. I never used it.There is a sticker on the tail light.Just noticed the sidecar has a flat tire. Probably will need a tube. The carbs are full of marvel mystery oil, trying to combat bad fuel over the winter.I kicked it over a few times to get some of the oil into the cylinders/ rings as well. When you first start it I’m sure there will be a LOT of white smoke, but after that the bike never burned oil.No battery.
