Extremely easy cleaning, This was done about 4 years ago and still looks like new. Overhead display of outside temp, compass, mpg, etc. has been repaired and works great.Transmission being the main weakness of the 7.3, it had a Ford remanufactured transmission installed at 160k miles, that Reman lasted until about a year ago at 282k miles. The current transmission is an upgraded, Stage 2 modified transmission, rebuilt by Zach's Transmission & 4x4 in Longmont Co. This trans. was built to handle an additional 100 hp, my plan was to then install a performance tuner/chip, but with the new shift points, shift firmness, increase in power, and the turbo flutter also eliminated with the upgraded trans, I felt a tuner/chip was no longer needed. Truck still has factory computer settings, no tuning or programming ever done. This truck has never ran better! This transmission is what Ford should have done! Amazing improvement over original! Rear main seal also replaced with trans rebuild. Note: Keyless entry/Electric power door locks do not work. All four doors must be manually locked/unlocked by pushing the lock down inside and unlocked with key or inside door handle. All four door lock actuators have slowly stopped working. I have purchased 2 and will include, but they have not been installed. Oil has been changed approx every 5k miles, Ford Motorcraft Diesel oil has been used in last 200k and 90% of all repair work has been done at a Ford Dealership. Oil change and inspections where done about a 1000 miles ago(see pics), Ford notes a LF shock leaking-all 4 have been replaced new, Ford also notes ball joints-ball joints, ball joints replaced at 257K and I don't feel any looseness yet, but they probably will need replaced in another 12-15k? Ball joints average 60-75k usually. Fords note also says oil leaks, it is a diesel, but the underside only shows moisture, no active leaks. This has been my daily, nightly, and weekend driver, anything that's ever worn out or broke, has been fixed. I have a stack of almost all maintenance records and repairs starting back from 110k up to now. Dash light bulbs behind the tach are burned out, tach does not light up at night, but still can be seen if needed, speedo lights up normally.Truck has scratches! One long scratch going down almost entire passenger side, tailgate has several, tailgate has several, lower portion of drivers door, and other small scratches can be found. Truck Has rust! The majority of rust is around the rear wheel wells, some on lower door edges and around window frames. Clear coat coming off in areas around upper window/door frames, truck will need some rust repairs and repainted soon. Interior- drivers seat leather is worn/cracking, pass seat has 2 cigarette burns, both armrests have leather that is cracking- leather upholstery needs repairs soon, the carpet is in fairly good condition, I think a professional shampooing would get it close to new again? Windshield is in good condition-no cracks or chips, no pitting. Everything else that's not mentioned above is in good condition and fully operational as best I know of.
