I'm selling this Cadillac SRX for my aunt and uncle, who, for the most part, had the vehicle maintained and repaired at my auto repair shop (Fine Tune Auto) in Lansing, Il Over the last 2 yrs and 2 months, it's had over $3,000 of mechanical work done to repair and maintain it. One of the major things that was done is a transfer case overhaul. The chains in the transfer cases on these cars go bad frequently, so we updated the chain to a newer, stronger design and that will probably never go bad again. Just last week we replaced the battery and alternator with new ones as well. There are some small leaks from the power steering and the VVT solenoid gaskets on the car but those are relatively minor at this point so they don't need to be done right away. Also the right front wheel bearing is slightly loose which should be done soon but isn't causing any problems right now that we're aware of. One more issue that I've been made aware of is that they don't like the way it drives on snow, but over the last 2 years I've never gotten it to act up while driving on snow or ice. It could be an intermittent problem or it may just be that they're not used to the way the ABS feels on this car. There is a small dent on the left rear wheel well as well. If you're still reading this at this point, I think you can tell I'm pretty honest and straight forward about things. the way I've written the description it may sound like the car has a lot of problems. The reality is that probably 90% of cars listed here on ebay have a ton more problems than this one, the difference is they aren't being disclosed. I welcome you to come in and go for a road test and see just how clean of a car this is, and how nice it drives. Everything works, nothing else is wrong with it. I'm not really sure why they are even selling it except that they went out and bought a new car while we were diagnosing it, and by the time it was fixed they'd already replaced it, assuming it might be a major problem. It turned out to be just an alternator.
