This Commutacar is 100% original factory OEM; an excellent example; one of the last production models with all the best engineering and updated componentry; has the improved engineered 6 horse power GE electric motor with improved direct drive transmission; no rust in front and rear bumper support frames and battery boxes; all original dashboard electricals, very nice original seats; excellent original body, chassis, glass, axles, wheels, suspension, pedal assembly, steering, and is the deluxe model with every available factory options; it will need eight 6 volt deep cell batteries with each 4 pack connected in series to main front and rear cable; all contactors, solenoids, micro-switches, main and auxiliary battery chargers, dashboard componentry, lighting, interior are exact original OEM as is complete wiring system through out the vehicle; this a rare unmolested original Commutacar which are becoming extremely difficult to find with 100% original OEM factory condition and components. This Commutacar is an excellent original OEM factory example with zero body or chassis damage which looks like new; there is no rust or damage in the front and rear bumper support frames or anywhere else with solid battery boxes and perfect front and rear bumper shock absorbers as well as excellent front and rear support frame covers; has excellent original suspension system complete with all 4 shocks and original OEM steering system; has all the original OEM dashboard electrical components which is really important as some replacements are very difficult to obtain; has excellent original seats that look like new; has a very nice completely original body chassis with no damage or accidents and original factory wheels and hub caps with excellent glass with no cracks or damage, this deluxe model has every available factory options; unfortunately the front and rear bumper guards on these Commutacars were made of early technology polyurethane that did not hold up well over time and can replaced or modified; the tires are old and should be replaced for safety reasons; while replacing the tires it would be a good time to remove the brake hubs for inside cleaning and clean the brake assemblies as well then fill with new brake fluid and bleed the system. This Commutacar is located in the Richmond Texas area (Beasley TX) and can be picked up or you can arrange for a transport company to pick it up. This vehicle is very light as it has no batteries in it so could easily be transported by a suitable trailer; the dimensions of this Commutacar are 95 inches in length, 55 inches in width, 58 inches in height, wheel base is 63 inches, front track is 43 inches, rear track is 44 inches; ground clearance is 4 and one half inches, weight is approximately 1000 lbs (no batteries); the experts on these Commutacars are a company called EV Performance and their website is http://www.evperformance.com and they can be very helpful concerning these Commutacars; EV Performance has a Technical Service Manual that I highly recommend as it is incredibly informative that covers every engineering aspect of these Commutacars and is very inexpensive ($30); once you learn the basic functions of these Commutacars you will be amazed just how simple and easy they are to operate and maintain; they are incredibly fun to drive and they are getting very rare in the condition this Commutacar is in and the value is increasing significantly due the electric car craze.
