Vehicle Detail
1962 MGA for sale located in Pensacola Florida. Engine was just rebuilt back to new condition. Runs great. There is a problem with the pertronixs distributor but a new stock distributor comes with it, along wit 4 plastic creates of parts. Needs body work.On Dec-21-17 at 11:17:14 PST, seller added the following information: Added picture of dash that was redone. On Dec-21-17 at 11:21:30 PST, seller added the following information: Information sent to other interested parties:Frame looks great! Underneath looks good as well. Fenders, the rears need work There are holes in the body as I stated that the body work is needed. The car is titled in my name. As far as the Pertronix, found that the cap is loose for some reason. No explanation from the company as they say it is normal. What I see is that it seems to cause the car to misfire after 20 or so miles.. Replace the cap and rotor, all is good for a little while. So I was going to go back to a stock distributor (new) as I know those work well..Mechanically, this car is excellent (except for the pesky distributor issue) Body is not bad but is could use a restoration. Interior is a little rough as I was in process in putting it back on the road. However, plans change and here we are at the moment. Love the car but just do not have time.. On Dec-21-17 at 13:48:36 PST, seller added the following information: More pictures. again, I pretty much rebuilt all the mechanical stuff. Notice also the heater core housing. Molasses bath and it look fantastic. Do not have a finished pic but you get the idea On Dec-22-17 at 13:07:09 PST, seller added the following information: More info to another person: Needed work. It can be done via A FRAME ON restoration as the fenders are the real issue. Oh, and the front apron pan needs to be replaced. I have never painted it but the old owner had done it over 15 years ago. This car was parked for 11 years in a barn. I started up in 3 days but decided to rebuild the motor completely. Not bad considering I have not done that in almost 40 years. Almost did it with my eyes close! Rust is really just the fenders, but it does have some in the interior (more surface than anything) Again, it is a candidate for a frame on restore. Distributor is no more than installing a new stock distributor. Pertonix seems to be what everyone goes to but I have not been really happy with it. On Dec-25-17 at 11:41:13 PST, seller added the following information: A bidder asked about whther or not the engine was a 1600 or 1622. Added last picture that shows 1622
