California 1995 Land Rover Discovery I LE , a very early DI with the desirable option of SEVEN SEATING CAPACITY. This is the second year model of the LR Discovery in the U.S. Solid, ONE OWNER California Land Rover, residing here most of its life since being purchased from Land Rover of Cherry Hill in NJ in 1995, and relocated to CA in 1998. It has lived in acreage in the Santa Cruz mountains in Northern CA since then until my acquisition nearly two years ago. It has sat in storage in my garage since, as I could not really find the time to do the full restoration I had intended to do ( my plan was to do a Camel Trophy tribute vehicle, as I've built 3 D1s on the past). Hence, I have decided to part with it, as other obligations have taken precedence. This Discovery I is completely stock, as it was originally built. Approximately 116K original miles on a very healthy and reliable 3.9L motor. NO overheating issues or sleeve chatter at all. It starts immediately, idles and drives well. This Land Rover Discovery I LE7 comes nicely equipped with factory Safari Package, to include:* Full wraparound brushguard * Headlight guards* Factory Side steps* 16" CYCLONE alloys* Factory Towing package* Boost wheels* (It had the rear taillight guards at some point, but I never got them) Most standard features and amenities available at time of production. Clean factory 16" alloy wheels, along with a good set of radial tires mounted on them ( with approximately 70% tread remaining). Stock 3.9L engine ( originally only available in the Range Rover SWB) runs very well. It is the very same engine as the Range Rover SWB.As it is well documented in all Land rover circles, the 3.9 motor was a vast improvement over the earlier 3.5 engines as it was more robust and had more torque as a result of engine redesigning to increase displacement to a more efficient, reliable motor. NO overheating issues, ticking nor engine noises to contend with. NONE. Automatic transmission shifts well into all gears. Four-wheel Power disc brakes brake smoothly without pulsation. Power steering, Power windows ( all four work) and A/C. Finish is still in its Beluga Black paint color, with NO hood or roofline fading nor oxidation of the clearcoat ( common ailment on all Range Rovers). Still shines quite well for its age. The body, chassis, undercarriage are super solid considering this Land Rover is twenty two years young ! This original Land Rover Discovery I LE7 is being sold unrestored and untouched, except for needed maintenance and service which has already been performed ( battery, brakes, brake master, cooler lines, muffler, etc). I was also finally able to replace the bent left-rear bumper bracket and finisher cap ( it caught on my side fence while backing out). Its tan leatherette upholstery is in very good condition and has held up very well. There are no cracks or tears on any of the seats. No rips, tears or seam splits. CLEAN headliner. Overall, a very clean original interior, door panels and factory original carpeting. CLEAN dash. The photos show the Discovery I LE7 accurately. NON SMOKER vehicle, ever. A very solid, unrestored DI, with better-than-average miles and a good 3.9L engine, the same as the Range Rover Classics. It runs very well with a strong, solid powertrain. Drives very nicely on the freeway.Clean chassis, with no tweaks, no modifications and a nice interior. It will make an excellent candidate for restoration, traveler, camping vehicle or just a fun Land Rover to drive around as it is.
