Vehicle Detail
How many of these do you see on the road nowadays? Here's your chance to own a future collectible! This example is in great shape! Replacement aftermarket parts are VERY inexpensive for this vehicle. 1992 Oldsmobile Bravada. Runs and drives, and needs some TLC. Recently passed Colorado State emissions with a new catalytic converter and muffler. Features:-Digital dash works 100%-new intake-new catalytic converters and muffler-new CPI spider and fuel pump-newish windshield-aftermarket wheels, tires with plenty useful tread remaining-new steering gear-leather is in fantastic shape. No tears. Soft and supple.-LED headlamps-upgraded stereo - with iPhone USB control and upgraded speakers - (4.1)-includes original 15” wheels, spare tailgate, factory service manual, and all the spare parts I have. Needs:TLC. There is rust creeeping in a few places, but it’s all repairable at this point. The interior is all there, but it rattles and has some beat up parts, like the center console and the dash. It also likely needs new suspension joints, even though the steering gear and Pittman/idler are new. The cruise control does not work (not sure why). The A/C also needs replacement, I think the pressure switch is bad. The transmission makes some of chattering in reverse, and that’s a relatively new symptom. It might clear up with more frequent (than semi-annual) driving. This vehicle should be purchased by someone who understands what they are buying, and has no expectation of buying a daily driver without a good bit of labor. With the current state of the suspension, it can be a bit disconcerting to drive on the highway and I would not take a road trip in it. The engine and transmission were replaced years ago, so the numbers don’t all match. All that said, it has been reliable for 25 years, and I drive it to work and back daily (13mi/each).
