Vehicle Detail
1967 CA100 Correct, well sorted CA100. Turn key. Ready to ride. Collector condition. Ride it or display it in your office. Last of the C100's before they morphed into the C70. Longtime Honda enthusiast, collector, certified Honda Tech. Selling one of the collection. This is a frame off restoration with the goal of saving the original black paint to retain originality. Paint does show some chips, wear and scratches consistent with age. Hand rubbed out and polished, new fuel OEM tank decals applied. Only items painted are the engine side covers, center stand, engine head cover, cylinder and a blend on the rear fender. This little bike also has some provenance. It has been photographed for a book written by Aaron P Frank called Honda Motorcycles. Published by MBI publishing in 2003. (see photos). The photographer was at a bike show I attended and had shot photos of quite a few bikes. Mine was lucky enough to make it in his book. It’s History is local, as it was once a rental bike at a dealer here in town in the late 60’s. I kept the #4 “painted in red on the seat bracket” for posterity. It was #4 of the rental fleet. Many, Many items replaced with NOS OEM parts. No aftermarket items were used. All correct hardware was used. No “hardware store” stuff, even the cotter pins are metric! Seat is original and has been repaired on the corner and resprayed black and white, with new logo stencil painted. *Rare NOS correct rear chrome rack. *Engine rebuilt. *Bored first over with new piston, pin, rings, *Valve job done with new push rods, tappets, rockers, springs, valves, etc. *New shift forks, pins, clutch discs, kick shaft, *All new hardware, bearings, seals and gaskets. *Carb rebuilt. *Front suspension rebuilt. *NOS chassis items include: *Rims, spokes, tubes and tires *Leg Shield *Front fender *Side Covers *Rear Shocks *Chain and sprockets, *Steering head bearings *Brake shoes *Gearshift pedal and brake pedal *Grips, levers, mirrors, lenses, headlight shell and head lamp assy *Speedometer *Muffler *All cables *Hardware, rubber bits, caps, springs, switches, and misc stuff too numerous to list. *Has a NOS tool kit Speedo shows mileage post restoration. Spare, aftermarket “rider seat” included. You do not want to sit on the original seat since the foam is old and will probably crumble. Bike is showing normal signs of patina from a 10+ year old restoration. Unfortunately the leg shied has cracked in 3 places. (see photos) I guess the plastic is too old now and has become more brittle from age. Fuel tank is clean with no rust and has not been coated. New battery installed. And carb cleaned as it had been sitting for a number of years. Runs like it should and everything works as it should. Shipping arrangements made by buyer. I can help in any way necessary. Crating, Palletizing, etc. I can ship from work as we have fork lifts and can handle trucks. Local delivery possible with prior arrangements. NO TITLE. (contrary to item specifics) Bill of sale only. Email with any questions. **Honda Motorcycles Book is not included in auction and is for reference only
