This is a beautiful red 1967 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL, with a black interior and desirable 4 speed manual transmission. This car is a weekend driver, not a trailer queen. I have had the car for over two years and have never driven her in the rain.This 280 SL is in very good original condition, with the only exception of a respray in the original color, over ten years ago. The engine compartment and dash are in original paint. "Nardi" mahogany steering wheel. The clock looks new, but needs to be connected, along with the original Becker "Europa II" radio. It comes with a new black soft top (clear rear window) and a resprayed hard top. The tires are 90%. The car has spent the entire time in the Southeast US. The following list of items were performed on the engine, 29 Oct 2017: 1- rebuilt Neman injection pump and new gasket 2- new plugs 3- new pre-fuel filter 4- new main fuel filter 5- oil change and new filter 6- new fuel injectors 7- seal kit for cold start 8- new fuel hose 9- new pre-fuel pump 10- new valve cover gasket 11- Adjusted valves 12- Rebuilt and clean cold start valve 13- Electronic ignition Over $4100 dollars in tune-up items. This car runs very good! It is a weekend (daily) driver. This car is not perfect. It is not an off frame, restored museum piece. It is a dependable, good looking, fun car to drive.
