For Bid is a 98 Wrangler Sport 4.0 Automatic. I bought this recently with the intentions of repairing it but have since bought a newer model that does not need work. I have never driven the jeep other then in my driveway. The jeep has the typical TJ frame rot. The frame is rotted by both control arms in the rear and in the very rear of the frame where it connects to the bumper. The front of the frame seems ok and same with the center where the skid plate is from what I can tell. The one front fender is rotted through as well. I had a local guy give me an estimate of $1200 to fix the frame rot with the rust caps made for these vehicles. Mechanically, I know nothing since I have never driven it. It starts, drives and engages in 4x4 that's all I know. It does need a heater core as the current one is bypassed. The seats are all in good condition other then the base of the driver seat which has a cover on it. This jeep would be a great project, great farm vehicle, off road vehicle, winter vehicle or great plow truck. Technically the only thing that really needs to be fixed to make it safe is the rot at the control arms. The jeep is being sold as is where is.
