All serious buyers should contact Bob at the number provided below. This is a private party sale and is a no reserve Auction. It is a 4.5 Liter V8 3-speed automatic in metallic light green. It looks great for a 40 year old car. I am the 3rd owner. The 2nd owner was an elderly woman who didn’t drive much. The vehicle has always been in the San Jose, CA area since new. After she passed away, her car sat idle in for several years. The son sold the car to me and my goal was to get it up and running, which I did, and more. I loved spending time working on this car. Unfortunately, I no longer have the free time to work on it. This car starts, runs and drives as it should and performs especially well on the freeway or long boulevards, a nice paint job would make this car outstanding. The car has: • Clean title • Been entirely in California • Original Blue License Plates • Original paint (except left quarter panel) • Passed California smog • Working vacuum air locks • Working electric windows • Working wipers • Working horn • Working lights • Working radio and cassette player • Two tops: cloth and hardtop • Original carpets • All original interior with exception of newly upholstered seats • Dual zone air-conditioning and heating • Steel wheels, just missing Mercedes center caps that can be purchased on eBay • No rust on the undercarriage sub-frame • 4-wheel disk brakes • User’s manual and Hayne’s and Chilton’s repair manuals • All original chrome intact • Odometer reading of 98,000 miles but odometer doesn’t always work I made the following changes to the car: • Reupholstered the seats • Changed all the fluids • Retrofitted R134A Freon for the air-conditioning (blows cold) • Replaced fuel pump with filter/strainer • Changed the alternator • Added a new steering wheel cover • Completed a major tune-up • Replaced battery • Replaced brake booster • Replaced half of the weather stripping • Cleaned out the mechanical fuel injectors Other comments: • It needs new weather stripping on the other half of the car. • It needs a trunk torsion bar. • Metal top is in good condition but the plastic window on the cloth top is foggy • The wipers work but the windshield washer does not. • It appears to have had some work done on left quarter panel. • There were only 8,110 cars of this model made in 1977. • The car is in San Jose, California. • Additional Detailed Photos and Clear-Coat/Paint flaws can be seen here: https://imgur.com/a/vosgb Please review all 41 photos closely.
