Vehicle Detail
This vehicle was rebuilt shortly before we bought it in May of 2008. It had right front end damage but the air bags did not deploy. The engine, air conditioner, area body parts and headlight assembly were all replaced with flawless functioning since then. The car is not shooting any codes and the check engine light is not on. It passed emissions testing this past May and is not due for retesting until May of 2019. It comes with a donut spare and related hardware as shown and also has the owner's manual and related documentation. It also has a navigation system for which the DVD has been updated a few years ago to include newer highways and toll ways (I-355 down to I-80). It has one fully functioning smart key and two other smart keys at least one of which will start the car when inserted in the ignition slot designed for the smart key. There is a slight engine noise which I would describe as noisy valve lifters. A mechanic I took it to told me that it was a noise very typical of a high mileage Japanese engine. He did not indicate that it was urgent to address but rather said it was a general sign of the engine aging. We have had the hybrid battery recently reconditioned by a hybrid battery specialist. He was able to bring the battery back up to a broader capacity and none of the individual cells needed replacing. I have this receipt. I would encourage taking a closer look if you are interested and while I believe this car has quite a bit of service yet to give it is being sold as is with no implied warranty. I do have the receipt for the recent battery reconditioning but there have been no other significant repairs since its rebuilding. There was a parking lot mishap where someone backed into the front bumper and the bumper lining was replaced in late 2012. No other damage. A car this age gets a few scratches on it and a couple of years ago we had it repainted with the repair of some minor scratches. Feel free to message me and we can arrange to talk on the phone or arrange for you to come see the vehicle. I am attempting to figure out how to post a video so a prospective buyer could hear the engine running. I can certainly post it on you tube and add a link to the video which is what I think I will do by tomorrow. We had purchased a 2001 Prius new and kept it til just after this one was purchased and this car is being replaced with a 2017 Prius. NO RESERVE on this auction! On Oct-27-17 at 08:25:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is the you tube video link where I have attempted to record the engine noise. It's not that loud but I think you can hear the clicking. https://youtu.be/x4VQ3eg2F-0
