HIGH-END BUILD, DONE PROFESSIONALLY, 383 V8 425HP, STEEL BODY, 700R4, AWESOME! 1938 Chevrolet Businessman's Coupe The Midnight Blue Metallic paintwork is so glossy it looks like blueberry chrome. Speaking of chrome, the large and bright Billet wheels (Billet Specialties) are staggered to give you that aggressive forward leaning stance. The fiberglass running boards help this one look like its slammed to the ground, but it's the super-straight steel body that give this one its liquid-like luster. Just because this coupe's wild appearance announces its presence from miles away doesn't mean it misses out on some cool up-close details like the custom grille, frenched in headlights and flush-mounted taillights. Inside it feels like no expense was spared to give this businessman's coupe modern convenience. The buckskin tan leather seats have a great tuck-n-roll pattern, and the blue piping perfectly coordinates with exterior color and the carpet. These guidelines are repeated on the doors, kick panels, center console, and even the trunk... Overall it has the kind of consistency that tells everyone this build is a cut above. As the driver, you get the comfort of a tilt column attached to a stylish Grant wood wheel. Your full gauge package has been given a modern twist with an LED display that glows in a blue that coordinates with the dashboard color. This Chevy was built to keep you and your passenger in complete modern comfort with a kickin' AM/FM/CD/DVD stereo system, cup holders, and ice cold air conditioning running modern R-134a for easy servicing. It's not a true hot rod without a great motor, and you'll be itching to show this one off at every stop. The engine bay is filled from end to end with a big 383 cubic-inch stroker V8. This one shines just like the exterior with all the chrome components and the valve covers specially painted in slippery metallic blue. But this V8 is not just about style; it has serious substance, too. Besides the monster displacement, this one has a Weber four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and MSD ignition. The power exhales through ceramic headers on its way through the wicked sounding dual exhaust. The total package is rated 425 HP and 440 ft. lbs. of torque. While this sounds like the perfect machine to tear up the streets, this custom build is much more versatile. For example, the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission is a beefy enough GM gearbox to handle all this power, but it's also an overdrive unit, which means it's nice on the highways. The same goes for the Ford 9-inch rear end running a versatile 3.73 ratio. It all feels great on the road with an independent A-arm front suspension, four-link rear, power steering, and four-wheel disc brakes. Brand new Red Top Optima battery this season. This car is titled as a 1938. I have title in hand and the title is free and clear with no liens or other encumbrances. This car ALWAYS draws crowds when you stop on your cruise. If you don't like getting attention this car is not for you. Mileage may change as it is driven often. Yesterday we went on a 120 mile Fall cruise to check out the leaves. It is very comfortable even on lengthy cruises. It is available for inspection if you wish to come and inspect it---although you will not be disappointed. I am 6' 4" and I have more than enough headroom, legroom and elbow room. This car is amazingly roomy. This sale is "as is".
