Don't be afraid to bid !! I have had offers already ! I see 20 people watching on both times I listed this auction. If your taking the time to watch then your interested If not then why waste time and watch if your not going to bid or buy just bid.. Here is my Baby a 2003 50th anniversary C5 ZO6 that I bought from an older gentleman in Ohio on Oct 2012 for my 40th Birthday. The car was bought and titled at 107,000 miles on the OD and body. Gentleman advised he built motor at 97,000 miles so it had 10,000 miles on fully built LS3 427 motor (Receipts for build attached below). Currently car reads 133,000 miles on the body but only 36,000 miles now on the motor from 2012 to 2017. In 2012 I always wanted a C5 ZO6 for my 40th and searched high and low I know the C5 ZO6 had a body and look that was becoming more popular for its timeless body and best bang for buck and still sought after. I also knew know I didn’t want to spend 20,000 or 25,000 on a garage queen bone stock one that had nothing done or slow. I asked myself why anyone would want to pay $25,000 for a bone stock C5 ZO6 when they can buy something done right, nice and well balanced all around. I guess to each his own but wasn’t going to be me. After I and my mechanic went to see the car, we drove it and inspect it thoroughly we spoke with the owner in person it became more clear to us that there was a large amount of money, time and reputable named parts that went into this car. Also according to the gentleman he built the Forged bottom end to withstand a 1000 HP and nitrous which was the route he wanted to go. He went as far as setting up the Nitrous lines and tank in the rear trunk but never hooked up the trigger or used it. (Hence the reason for the Clevite rod bearings, H Beam Rods and Comp Star Crankshaft) which according to the receipt for the build was about $4600.00 alone in crank pistons and bearings… (Receipts attached below). It was very rare to see a 3200 pound car with a fully built and Tuned LS3 427 making 535 RWP and 510 RWP torque naturally aspirated in 2012. I have had the car for 6 years and absolutely love love the car. Has been nothing but good to me. Starting it and feeling the whole car shake and thump and growl from the big cams to the looks, the handling and the people who give me thumbs up everywhere I go sounds mean. I figured out after 6 years why they say Chevy is built to last man. I had the T56 transmission rebuilt to stage 2 parts on June of 2016 at 131.000 miles with new spline as well as new 390 rear. It seems the guy who did the rear before me didn’t tighten the rear end bolts inside the casing to well. According to my mechanic when he open up the rear end he stated the bolts in the housing were so loose they made the rear loose and chew away the teeth of the spline. At this point since the spline goes through the transmission and needs to be taken apart I decided to rebuild the transmission new spline and new 390 rear end gears and 300mm end shafts. Tommy D from East Coast Superchargers head mechanic who is much respected amongst the corvette forums did this for me at a cost of $3000.00. He has been the only mechanic I would ever allow working on this car. I must say I have been driving race cars and fast cars most of my life from twin turbo, Rx7 to a 10 second Evo 9 an M5 and E55 AMG and more and I can’t believe the Vette a 3200 pound car feels so much faster vicious and tight than half the cars I owned. The mid to high power on the highway pulls ridiculously hard. 4th gear feels like an endless 3rd gear and 5th gear feels like 4th.. Amazing. I have come up against cars that were two to three times more money and very fast and yet have left them up top on the highway like it was no one’s business. Since I have 2 kids I don’t get much time to really enjoy it much as I used to and I think it’s time to get a fast four door sedan that the whole family can enjoy. I bought this car for 25,000 with motor already done and with my stack all my receipts I have put over 15,000 on top of the 25000 I paid for the car. I am anal about my maintenance and the detailing of the car. This car has been always maintained by Tommy D over at East Coast superchargers in Cream Ridge NJ I have always run Amsoil Dominator 15w 50 race oil changed every 1500 miles or every 3 months. Plugs NGK TR6 and Taylor 10mm race wires every 10,000 miles which have just been done a few weeks ago. I am in no desperate need to sell the car as its been paid for a while and sits clean in the garage and taken out twice a month. I am simply just seeing what else is out there. By the way the car has never ever been on the track or a road course just highway cruising or country road fun. You can buy a used 2003 ZO6 for 18,000 and up in a bone stock version with lows miles, but why would anyone want to pay 18,000 and then be disappointed with the power then add serious money to try and make it faster? Smart thing to do is buy a well-rounded car that has each category improved Motor, Braking, Suspension, Sound system, car exterior styling all for a little more than a stock boring 5.7 liter ZO6. Its really a no brainer. Un less you buy a stock C5 zo6 and get pulled on the highway by a new Honda odyssey in the passing lane ha! I am sure I am missing a lot but I have receipts for all so you can sort through all the papers if you like. Left mirror stopped working electrically I move it by hand if I need to. Driver left bolster has a rip in the stitching of the leather stock seat. The AC compressor is in the car and never had a belt on it since I got the car so the guy said he took off the belt so I can’t tell if the AC will work never had it checked. you have the little tiny nicks and a clear coat spaces on the front of the bumper of the car peeling ( I got estimate $475.00 to pull bumper off and repaint ) but I have taken factory touch up paint to some nicks and from 1 foot away can’t even tell. rear chrome zo6 wheels have the usual pitting of chrome still shine like new just get up close and you can see the little bubbling in the corners of the chrome Half inch tiny crack in rear bumper between quarter and bumper. Touch up paint in crack and you don’t even see it. Front right headlight has a little haze needs to be wet sanded and buffed. HUD still works but seems to be misaligned needs to be adjusted. Thank you for reading as you can see there has been a shit load of money. Even if the motor was blown you can have it rebuilt for between 6000.00 To 15000 wild to mild. Either way you still have one hell of an insane car for the money. If I were to keep it I was going to set it up for a Novi supercharger. Just have the pistons and rings changed from 11 to 1 compression to 9.5 compression. But we will see what people offer or willing to offer if not no biggie I keep it and move on with this car and do what I want to do. Remember this is a fully built race motor not a stock corvette ls1 or ls3 there is no warranty implied sold as is do your research and know what you’re buying as I did when I bought it.
