Vehicle Detail
Original woman owner, purchased in Dallas 1979. Last licensed in Oklahoma 2003. Always kept indoors. Requires extensive reconditioning, but everything (except tires) original & as delivered. Has added A/C unit, needed for Dallas summers. Baseball gloves & basketballs not included! I'm having knee replacement so all hopes of me driving it again gone. No reserve, buyer needs to pick up. I will keep in my garage at no cost to buyer for up to 30 days after auction ends. After that I will auction again. Buyer responsible for all costs following initial auction & up to 30 day free storage. QUESTIONS ABOUT WHETHER IT RUNS OR NOT - IT'S BEEN PARKED FOR 10 YEARS. I DROVE IT INTO THE GARAGE THEN. ALSO QUESTIONS ABOUT CONDITION OF TOP. IT WAS FINE 10 YEARS AGO. AND NO, I'M SORRY, I WON'T ATTEMPT TO RAISE IT. The owner has gone into the hospital, and asked me to take over answering all questions. Several questions about rust. Basically the car has been in Dallas or Tulsa all its life except for two years in Michigan, but not driven much there. I've crawled under the car & there's virtually no chassis rust. I found a couple of surface scratches in the paint about 1 inch long & 1/8 inch wide that have surface corrosion. Probably a few more that I didn't catch, but there's absolutely no rust through. I'm 78 & have owned probably 5/6 MGBs over the past 60 years, and I believe this is the most rust-free MGB I've encountered. In my earlier days I would have snapped this up, spent a month and a few hundred $$ and made enough to buy my next fixer-upper. If car doesn't sell call me (918-430-5968) if you're interested in making an offer. One question whether seats are intact or not. I moved some of the softball equipment and found no tears.
