THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!The weather's still good enough to ride OR hide this away for a holiday gift! This auction is for a REALLY sweet 1969 Honda Z50A K1 Mini Trail, VIN 233803. This is not a perfect museum piece, but HAS been painstakingly resurrected with lots of TLC. Since we have decided to move to a newer home and don't have indoor storage for my collection (this has always been garaged since I've owned it), I feel it's time to let someone else enjoy this classic. To start with, the engine has been totally rebuilt (bored first over, new piston and rings, gaskets, seals, valve job, automatic clutch totally gone through and adjusted, new points, engine cases and head beadblasted, all new seals and gaskets, etc) by a factory trained Honda mechanic with over 50 years of experience. You will actually have to BREAK THIS ENGINE IN (I’ve put about 10 minutes on the bike since rebuild)! The following have been replaced with either NOS or reproduction parts: seat, front and rear tires, front and rear brake cables, front and rear sprockets, rectifier, steering bearings, fork gaiters, headlight bulb, battery and strap, spark plug, drive chain, kickstand, and of course, fresh oil. The following HARD TO FIND original parts are still on this bike: air cleaner, complete headlight and taillight assemblies, gas tank and headlight badges, chainguard, exhaust heat shields, battery box, and factory muffler assembly. Mechanically, brakes work very well, automatic clutch is excellent, gearbox shifts great all through three gears, all lights work. Carb was completely rebuilt, bike starts on first or second kick and idles nicely. This little critter is a runner! Cosmetically, there is some minor wear and tear, as to be expected – call it PATINA. The white spots in the photos are reflections. Since there is no speedometer the mileage is unknown. Fenders are quite decent. Headlight and switch (one beam only) and taillight/brake light work. While the battery is relatively new, it is NOT a Yuasa and I think it should be replaced with an OEM battery - the knockoff doesn't seem to hold a charge well. The ignition switch is original and while it works for the lights, it does not apparently kill the engine as it should, hence the aftermarket kill switch. I will include a spare OEM key switch assembly should you want to change it out (repros readily available on eBay). The bike HAS been repainted, as close to factory colors as available. The gas tank is all original, very solid, clean and rust free inside. This bike is all complete, here is a chance for you to OWN HISTORY! This bike deserves a great home to a young child hankering for his first bike, an old kid wanting to relive his youth, or someone wanting a REALLY cool ORIGINAL pit bike. We try to accurately describe the shortcomings, but look at the photos and ask questions before bidding. . I will provide a Bill of Sale if you would like one, THERE IS NO TITLE (since there was no appropriate box to check above, I put clear). There aren’t a lot of these around anymore, so don’t miss your chance to own one! SHIPPING: Buyers to pay and arrange for shipping and crate, if necessary. Please confirm and provide whatever your shipper needs in order to secure your bike. Since this is a mini-motorcycle, you can actually fit it in the backseat of your car if need be!. I accept payment via PayPal – which takes Visa and MC. A $200 non-refundable deposit must be received in 2 days.
