The Good: Well Maintained. Good tire tread left. Great gas mileage. Low miles for this year. New hybrid batteries at approx. 90,000 miles by previous owner. The Not So Good: Transmission issue shifting out of 2nd gear. When car shifts from 2nd gear the engine revs to higher RPMs than it should. Simply letting off the accelerator a bit allows it to shift into 3rd. Have had this looked at. Transmissions in these Ford Hybrids cannot be worked on or have parts repaired. They are basically built to be disposable. Replacement transmission costs $7,000. We have driven with this issue over a year. It does not take away from the performance of this vehicle. It’s never gotten any worse. Electrical system lights are on for the brake/ABS system. Mechanic has checked system and finds no issue. Could just be a bad sensor but would have to take to Ford dealership to be diagnosed. Too expensive and I hate dealing with the local Ford Service Dept. So you are getting a not perfect but still very good running vehicle. 128,969 miles Fair condition NADA over $3,000. Selling for ½ that!
