Description Reluctantly selling the 1986 Cavalcade that has been my touring bike for the last 10 years. I am the second owner, and you would be hard pressed to find a nicer example of this luxurious and comfortable touring motorcycle. Everything works as it should, including the auto-leveling air suspension. Important safety updates have been done, including the secondary drive ("Tracy plug") and a strengthened fork brace (see these references on the secondary drive and fork brace. The bike is otherwise stock except for a non-factory (but upholstery matched) rider backrest and a replacement windscreen. I bought the bike with only 13,000 miles on the odometer, and have added less than 12,000 since that time. The bike got new front and rear tires last year (less than 1,000 miles) and a fresh battery this season. The factory stereo is fully functional, with all of the switches updated three years ago. It's not a garage queen, but this Cavalcade is in overall outstanding condition. The paint still gleams, the chrome shines, and the upholstery is fully intact. The engine is smooth and powerful, and shifting is smooth and precise. Even the original factory bag liners are in great shape! This bike is ready to travel anywhere. There are a few minor cosmetic blemishes-- some scratching on the side bag and a fairing crack that has been securely and properly repaired (see photos). There are probably a few other niggles as well, but I can't imagine that the buyer won't be well pleased with the condition of this motorcycle. Inspection The bike is located in Union County, New Jersey near exit 135 on the Garden State Parkway. Contact me via ebay if you are local and wish to arrange an inspection. This is a large motorcycle for an experienced rider-- absolutely no test rides without a valid license with motorcycle endorsement and cash in hand for the full purchase price. Any test ride will be on the agreement that if the bike is dropped or damaged, the buyer will be obligated to purchase the bike at the full Buy It Now price.
