Vehicle Detail
The bike and parts have been sitting in a shed for ten years. It will need a complete strip down and rebuild, wiring checked over, paint, etc. It ran great when I last rode it. I put it away after having a misfire issue after I installed new points. I got frustrated with it and put it away in the fall of 2007 and basically forgot about it. In hindsight, the misfire was almost certainly from non-oem points shorting out from contacting the points cover. I never confirmed this, but it just sort of occurred to me one morning while waking up after a night of bad sleep. The tank cap is missing and I can't find it. Air filters and side covers are gone too. Everything else is there. It has an original seat and chain cover and brake light and rear fender, which are visible in the pictures. The "cafe" style seat was homemade by a much younger me on a very low budget. There was also an attempt made (by me) to install a lucas style brake light, and I remember getting it to work after many failed attempts. This also involved removing the rear fender which I still have, although it was rusty and I painted it silver for some reason. The tires have very low mileage, but are around 11 years old. The engine is overbored 1 size over, and I remember calculating that it now is a 333cc (these were originally 325cc, but Honda's marketing team apparently didn't like the sound of that, so they called it a 350). I did the rebuild and it ran great for the one year that I rode it. The mufflers on it used to set off car alarms. It shifted smoothly and I could redline it all day long. It has never been crashed (by me at least) and has a good NJ title. I have a few manuals and a Honda factory manual that I downloaded from somewhere. The main reason I'm selling this bike i because I am moving 3000 miles away and I'm not taking it with me. I'm actually a little sad to be selling it, even though it has just been sitting wasting away in a shed. Hopefully, it goes to good home and someone gets to have as much fun with it as I did.
