1998 Volvo S90 We are pleased to present this very nice 1998 Volvo S90. The S90 is a 1 year only model that was produced by Volvo only in 1998. It is a slight facelift and evolution of the Volvo 960 which came before it. This particular S90 was just traded into us along with a second S90 on a newer XC90 by its owner. One of our employees bought the other S90, and we are making this one (the nicest one) available to our friends on ebay. These cars were maintained so meticulously. The service records are all here and are extensive. The owner also kept a log of all repairs and maintenance, as well as a separate very detailed log (on index cards) of each oil change. The interior of this S90 is in very nice condition. The drivers seat shows some pretty heavy wear, which is pretty expected for a car of this age and mileage. Make no mistake, this car was used, but it was very well cared for. The tan leather seats are in great condition except for the drivers seat wear I mentioned. They're still very soft, and feel great. Everything in the interior works. The car has the Premium Sound System with a cassette and CD player. It's easy to use, and sounds excellent for any time period, but especially for a 20 year old car! None of the speakers are blown. It also has a power moonroof. The previous owner of this car was definitely a non-smoker. Neither the lighter nor the ash tray have been used. There is a cup holder that accommodates two beverages. This Volvo has dual front airbags, as well as front side airbags. The side airbags are part of a system called SIPS which stands for "Side Impact Protection System." This is a combination of high-strength door beams, specially designed door openings, and side airbags, which keeps the passengers safe in the event of a side impact. Because it has the climate package, it does have heated front seats, as well as heated exterior mirrors. The exterior of this S90 is in nearly flawless condition for any car, let alone a car that's 20 years old. We found one door ding and virtually no scratches or chips on the exterior. The left rear quarter has a thin strip of peeling clear coat that is visible in the photos. The car is Nautic Blue in color which looks fantastic, and its contrast with the tan interior is very classy. There's no sign of any fading here which would indicate that this car has been extremely well cared for and kept in a garage. The timing belt service has been completed twice. Most recently at 113k miles. This S90 has the 16 inch "Andromeda" alloy wheels which are finished in hyper silver and are in great shape. It's also important to notice that the car has no rust anywhere on it at all. The tires are all in nice shape with excellent tread life remaining. The car also includes a set of nearly new snow tires mounted on a second set of wheels. The brakes are in good shape and the car stops as it should. The legendary 2.9 Liter 6 cylinder engine runs flawlessly and is very smooth and powerful. The transmission also operates properly and feels very strong (as these transmissions usually do).
