Vehicle Detail
1966 Honda CB77 305 Superhawk that needs someone to enjoy it and give it the love it deserves. The previous owner modified the CB 77 with a flat bar, bar end mirrors, and cafe racer style seat, all non-original. I replaced the exhausts which need a little TLC as there are small spots of rust visible in the pictures. I also tuned the carbs slightly, replaced the chain, tires, battery and gas lines when purchased seven years ago. Since purchase, I added maybe 20 miles to it but it has had a comfortable life in a garage hooked up to a battery tender with an empty tank. It is a project I constantly wish that I continued. The tank would need some polish to bring it to a nicer finish and everything else could use a spot of care. Electric starter does not work, but the bike will start after a lot of work with the kickstarter. Given that it can take a minute of hard kicking to start, this motorcycle should be considered NON-FUNCTIONAL. I'm not confident that it will be easy to start when you come pick it up. Likely needs just a little more carb tuning would make it run. I put gas it in, took it off the battery tender, and ran it up and down the street last weekend. It does feel pretty cool ride though. Speedo works, but the odometer should not be trusted. Throttle and steering are fine as well as brakes and suspension for a motorcycle of this age. Clutch works, but could also use some work. No visible oil or gas leaks. Chain and tires are in good condition. Center stand only. Never been down as far as I can tell. Like most project bikes, I worked on it for a summer, rode it no more than 100 miles, then put it in storage and kept putting off working on it. Overall, this motorcycle needs love and would be great for someone looking for a little project. It has been garaged the past 7 years and now the wife is making me clean out the project bikes. Cash only upon pick up. There is NO registration or plate. You should bring a trailer or pickup.Arrangements can be made to view the motorcycle this week. If you win the auction, you are legally bound to the sale price so please no haggling. Full payment and pickup due within 72 hours of auction close.
