Up for bid is a 1940 Ford Two Door Sedan with an 8BA- flathead V8, 3 speed on the column. The car does run and drive. I just drove it around the neighborhood today, it went thru all 3 gears with ease. The motor seems to have been rebuilt recently but not sure. We purchased it from an estate auction with little background info. The motor starts and idles fine. The clutch feels tight and goes thru the gears fine. The brakes seem to be good. The exhaust is broken at the manifold so the car is loud! But sounds good. Doors open and close with ease. The windows are all good except the rear passenger, it is cracked. See the pic. The two front windows do roll up and down. The two rear windows are off track. As far as I can tell all the trim and hardware is with the car. Even the jack and wipers. Lots of new door gaskets and hardware from Bob Drake and Dennis Carpenter. New headlight bezels along with the original. The interior needs everything. There is no carpet/mat, no headliner, the front seat needs upholstered, the rear seat isn't too bad. The headlights and brake lights are not working. The speedometer does work. The fuel gauge, temp gauge and oil gauge work. The battery gauge does not work but according to the multi meter the generator does charge. The tires need replacing but they do hold air.
