Hello Everyone, Thank you for looking at my 2002 Mercedes Benz E320 4-Matic (which means ALL WHEEL DRIVE!) This car is very CLEAN! No smells, non-smoker owned CLEAN CARFAX! Clean Title I have invested good amount of money in this car. Recently all new brakes front calipers and rotors AND brake lines! Hard and Soft! This was over $1,000 And another $2,000 in a laundry list of ignition system items like coils etc.The Car Runs and Drives and Shifts Beautifully… BUT when it warms up, the transmission disengages and the car won’t move. This is believed to be the conductor plate OR Torque Converter or Torque converter clutch relay. Most likely NOT an entire transmission rebuild. ***UPDATE*************************************************************I found a posting on a mercedes forum of somebody with the same exact issue as me, and they found it to be a loose transmission filter, I removed the transmission pan today and found an aftermarket non-mercedes filter was used and it was also loose. I purchased and installed a new original mercedes transmission filter and pan gasket and replaced fluid. The car now will run and drive and the transmission is engaging, however it is in a safety or limp mode and wont shift from 1st gear. I believe a mercedes dealer now needs to reset my transmission ECU. Either way, may need just that or more, not sure. I lowered my price to reflect a deal even if you had a transmission rebuilt...*********************************************************** I am moving onto my Yacht to sail around, I have too many cars.
