Up for auction is my 1973 Triumph TR5T Trophy Trail. Bought new in 1974 it was our family camping mule and made many trail rides. This is a survivor. I have no idea what the mileage is since the odometer has been on and off many times. All the original parts including turn signals, passenger pegs, tachometer, speedometer, sprockets, skid plate, muffler insert, owner’s manual, Shop manual, OEM tool set plus several BS wrenches and Snap-On socket set in original case, miscellaneous fasteners, and new matching front tire are included. Clear Montana title It has been garaged for several years. This spring I changed oil, replaced gas tank valves, battery, rear tire, cleaned the carburetor and took it for a ride. Starts, idles and shifts perfect. I cleaned it up a bit but it has not been “shined up”. The original TR5T’s were geared for off road, I changed the front and rear sprockets to Daytona ratio. The engine rpm range is much better for on and off road. The front fender mount is still there. I built a low mount for the original fender because I got tired of sand and dirt being thrown in my face. I installed the seat extension and the luggage rack is very sturdy. The bad: Chrome is very pitted and will need to be redone or replaced. Seat is shot, new OEM replacement is about $300. Tachometer and Speedo Cables are out and have not been used for years but are free and seem to work. The original Speedometer mounting bracket is broken. Handlebars are tweaked and clutch lever is shortened. Payment is thru PayPal or Cash, no credit cards, debit cards or checks accepted. Transaction will be per e-bay rules only.
