WOW ! NO RESERVE!!! Runs Good, Many ExtrasOnly 23K Miles 1987 Honda Goldwing Aspencade GL1200-AH Cruiser Motorcycle Runs Good Low Miles!! Used Bike. Not in Perfect Shape but Running and Very Good Sound Engine and Transmission. Sound overall suspension and drivetrain and clutch and such... Some Quirks. Some Dings. Overall Very Good Mechanically and Cosmetically. As Is Seat bottom has sun fade and some dryness but no rips That said. This bike has a unique past. Low miles due to previous owner buying it new but , getting sick and giving up riding. I picked it up as a project and resurrected it myself taking my time with other mechanics / friends. It was fun. A true labor of love. I have had several other Goldwings and enjoy riding and restoring them. Thus, previous owners Letting it sit indoors preserved the bike overall. Yet carbs have been rebuilt and such. I completed the overhaul with new parts of the disassembled carburetors. Body and cosmetic fearing installed by me too. Again overall the Goldwing Aspencade Turned out pretty well it took me a few months with a slow steady weekend approach. Though it is going to need a finer tuning from the shop to sync carbs perhaps and re-attach a couple of items cosmetically and electronically. Nothing too major, but the cruise control unit needs attention. It's all there but I am not sure of functionality fuses or such. The radio works but the tuner button is sticking a bit and only changes the station upwards. The throttle cable works but is sticky in that it does not spring back easily but driveable that way. The front and rear shocks seem to fill up and such but probably needs cleaning buttons contacts. Tires are showing aging and are ridable but should be replaced soon. The smog air inlet pipes need to be re-installed on this special California model. However, a bypass of the pipes works for now as I accomplished a work around with gromet to fill the spaces where the small air inlet pipes were previously attached. The bike would have greater pickup and more power if the original small 4" pipes were replaced as the workaround is only temporary to confirm ridability of the work I accomplished. I got it to over 80 MPH, my old Goldwing Aspencade was an 86 and did not have the silver air inlets. I routinely got it well over 120 MPH with no problem. The 87 is sort of special with those tiny pipes for CA Smog Requirements. When I took on the re-assembly there was only one pipe. A new set of 4 pipes is avaialable for a few dollars each on ebay... $20 bucks gets you four 4" smog/air inlet pipes, probably with shipping. I have not taken the time as I would like to see a better more permament work around instead of using the pipes. But if you want to go back to original it is an easy fix, just remeve the carp air intake pipes (the 90 degree ones on the side and that will reveal the pipe fitting area.) Again other than that the battery seems to not be charging on its own very well. Could be the stater, could be that I just have not connected the appropriate wires correctly, so that is another fix for the shop. Again, I am not a purist pro, just a learning growing hobbyist with a passion and google / youtube tutorials to get me and friends through. Other than that not much else wrong and still a lot of cool stuff is very right with this classic in near mint shape overall with chrome and such. Only usual parts have lost some luster like the trunk saddle locks and the paint has some fading... I think only a few minor cosmetic parts may be missing. Yet I have a lot of replacement items and spares included in the auction. Please email with questions and extra pics requests if you need them. $500 Deposit acceptable within 24 hours upon winning the Goldwing auction. See details below. Full payment within 3 Days or upon pickup. On Jun-20-17 at 17:39:35 PDT, seller added the following information: Note I am throwing in the Motorcycle Cover if you want it. Also, I added pics of details and extra parts I mentioned....The little silver pipe is the smog air inlet hose I bypassed with a workaround plug in order to ride it like an 86 version of the bike that does not have the smog retrofits for california. But again you can buy three more and re-install them with my spare, which has a good o-ring too. Typo: Mileage is actually 19,674 miles as it sits now not the mistaken higher mileage of 23,000.. Sorry I did not catch it earlier. I just wanted to stay accurate for everyone.
