Vehicle Detail
Here's a rarely optioned, third generation, Dodge Ram 2500 Regular Cab Long Bed with the 5.7L Hemi and NV4500 5 speed manual transmission. This is the ST model with mostly manual options including manual windows, locks and floor-shift four-wheel-drive. The fenders have been fitted with pocket-style 3.5" fender flares to accommodate the new LT-315/70R17 Goodyear Wrangler tires. The fender flares are removable, if desired, as they are fastened only by the existing screws and clips. The paint underneath the flares is in nice shape with only one bubble on the driver's side, rear fender. There is no rot/hole/peeling anywhere around the fenders. I have before photos to reference the paint/steel quality.Despite the larger tires and slight lift, this truck drives and shifts smoothly through all five gears and reverse engages flawlessly. It does not track at highway speeds and, again, despite the larger tires, this truck has no issues getting up to highway speeds and has incredibly stable and tight steering. The four-wheel-drive also employs with ease and the front tires grab immediately; there is no hesitation or grinding when entering or exiting four-wheel-drive. In addition to being in very good mechanical shape, cosmetics don't fall far behind. The paint and body panels are in very nice shape overall. The rockers do have some surface corrosion, but the cab corners are solid. As noted, all the fenders are solid with no major rotting issues. The bumpers are in very nice shape as well as all the plastic trim pieces. The interior is in nice shape with vinyl floors, cloth seating and has room for three with a good amount of storage behind the seats. The original AM/FM CD unit was replaced with a Pioneer head-unit with MP3, bluetooth and USB connections. The driver's seat has been sewn up to patch the common rip found in most of these earlier 3rd generation Rams, so technically, there are no tears in the fabric. The dash has fallen victim to the common crack issues this generation truck has, but only in one section. Lastly, the frame is in remarkable shape for a New England born and raised truck. There are no questionable areas to be found and the previous owner had the frame undercoated. Please contact me for more info. The Maine State Inspection is valid through May 2018 and I just changed the oil/filter with full synthetic. The front and rear differentials have also been serviced/refreshed. This Ram can be shown in more Southern regions of Maine, but mostly stays in storage in my garage in Norridgewock. This truck will not disappoint you.
