Mid engineering chassis Project car Mid-Engine Project The Mid engineering frame was a very popular chassis in the 70’s when building a mid-engine vehicle. “In a 1977 Car and Driver Magazine road test the car hit 203 mph and in the ¼ mile it also ran 10.10 second ET and 134 mph.” I channeled a `73 corvette body over the frame to accomplish two objectives. First, I wanted a solid body instead of a kit car. Second, It had a Florida title. Has 350 SBC block mounted for mock-up. Trans was rebuilt. Has Centerline wheels, Corvette coil over rear suspension, Corvette front suspension. Small block Chevy engine hooked to 1970 olds/toronado front wheel drive trans. Mounted behind drivers seat!
