Vehicle Detail

1968 Ford Mustang Fastback GT500E “Eleanor” Tribute Shelby Eleanor World Registry #325 Only 47 miles out of rebuild The Eleanor Mustang designed for the movie, Gone in 60 Seconds has become one of the most influential and desirable vehicles in the world of collecting. This is a California rebuild from an original 68 Mustang body with correct DuPont 44490 Pepper Grey Metallic finish and new black interior. Countless new parts were installed to create this stunning Eleanor Tribute car. This car is offered on consignment and is a real head turner earning more remarks than any car we’ve had. It has a beautiful new interior with very comfortable, Carrol Shelby signature leather seats, Autometer Phantom gauges, Shelby mahogany wood steering wheel, Old Air Vintage A/C Shelby system, High performance sound system, Cue ball shifter with Go Baby Go button. Other features include: Completely dressed out Ford FE390 Big Block Ford T5 transmission 5 speed Serpentine pulley kit w/ polished AC compressor Oppenheimer intake Shelby Cobra valve covers and air cleaner Edelbrock carburetor Four row aluminum radiator Aluminum fan shroud with electric cooling fans Flowmaster dual exhaust (not very well done) Pertronix Ignitor electronic distributor Old Air A/C vintage Shelby system Power assisted Four Wheel disc brakes Original suspension design with some new parts. New gas tank All Eleanor correct trim, moldings, emblems and lighting The paint work is good overall but there some defects in the body and paint as shown in pictures. It is not a show winner quality. Very high gloss but has imperfections. The engine runs very well. The car drives well but could be a lot better with a proper robust clutch system. The car was purchased on line by a high profile car collector that I know about a year ago. He was disappointed in car for the $86,000 price tag. The seller did not own up to his errors in online marketing and disappeared. The owner decided not to add this to his collection and to liquidate at a large discount. His loss is your gain. We have set the reserve on what we believe the car to be worth after our inspection. It will make a fantastic additional to anyone’s collection at this price It is a 1968 vehicle sold As Is but in “Good” condition. Shipping will be at the buyer’s expense. We will need to speak with the winning bidder at auction close to arrange pickup.
