Not your typical car with issues. Runs and Drives onto your trailer or truck. I purchased this donated vehicle recently. In the past few years we have had tremendous results acquiring certain cars or trucks with specific criteria. Unfortunately this "run and drive" car had a issue. Prior to leaving the lot it showed signs of overheating prompting us to instead opt for shipping it home. We hadn't encountered a head gasket issue vehicle where instead of the water in the oil it leaks air into the water. Stubbornly We tried the head gasket chemical solution, purchased a new radiator, metal impeller water pump, new thermostat and housing a few hoses etc. It still almost seems it's just not being bleed of air completely. If you take it home bleed it and laugh hysterically I won't be upset if you contact us and rub it in. Regardless we believe it is almost certainly is a gasket or a head resurfacing job. Not comfortable with tackling that job we are parting ways with the car and eliminating any additional stress. This isn't the normal broken down car however. The body is near perfect. The brakes, steering, alignment, transmission, spotless clean interior and car's engine all seem great. Citing any known flaws the M3(?) wheels have some corrosion. I just noticed a tiny dent in the drivers side passenger door I am sure a can of air duster and a hair dryer will pop it right out. Clear coat has peeled off the car and should be resprayed at some point, fog light needs reattached and the inner plastic fender has a crack from driving off ramp. Arguable the best looking of any of the 3 series cars these 1997 & 1998 were built at the peak of factory quality and this one is pristine enough to warrant any mechanical efforts. Just purchased new vehicle so take advantage of that and make offer. We reserve the right to end this auction if a local buyer and former BMW mechanic's wife allows purchase. We held the car for him for three days. He thinks it's a fantastic deal btw albeit he's poor.
