I present for sale my 1997 Mercedes E300 Diesel sedan with 153,xxx miles (I still drive it regularly). VIN WDBJF20F8VJ031192. I purchased this car late last year to use as a daily driver and no longer need it as I am transferring overseas for the next two years. Included with the car was some fairly detailed maintenance records over the past 4-5 years and the rest of the information I pulled from the Carfax report to present a fairly good record of the car’s service since new. The car appears to have always been serviced at the dealer or a Mercedes specialist and has obviously been very well cared for. I have had no problems at all with the car for the few months that I have owned it. The only non-functioning item I can think of is the remote sensor on the door handle. You can still aim the remote at the sensor in the rear view mirror or the trunk and the remote lock/unlock works fine. I installed an aftermarket radio with Bluetooth connectivity, USB input, SiriusXM, and hands-free for the phone, but will also include the original radio with the sale. I have also purchased new brake pads that will be included as well. The hitch was installed by me to use a single bicycle rack. I’ve never towed with it and it is not rated to tow. No wiring was installed to support additional lighting. The automatic climate control works great. The top of the third brake light is missing. There a couple small cracks in the dash. The built-in analog telephone probably doesn’t work anymore. This vehicle does have a South Carolina Salvage/Non-Removable Title. Please research what that means for your particular situation. The salvage title was issued due to hail damage. The car has several small dents in the roof, hood, and trunk that can be seen if the light is right, otherwise I don’t really notice. The paint is in good condition overall, but there are a few spots that look a little sun faded in the right light. There are also some small chips on the right side and on the hood. The seats are leather (not MBTex) and well worn. The pads are still quite comfortable. Please review the photos as I’ve tried to present an accurate representation of the vehicle.
