1967 ELEANOR SUPER SNAKE GT500SR CONVERTIBLE This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION for (1) one original Eleanor Convertible body shells that I purchased in 2008 from Unique Performance, Farmers Branch, Texas. This is a rare opportunity to buy one of the original Eleanor convertible of which only 1 or 2 were ever built by Unique Performance (pictured below). Original convertible production was planned to be very low approximately 10, much less than the fastbacks they produced. The Super Snake cars were originally planned to be built with the Vortech Supercharged 427 producing 725HP. I purchased two of these convertibles in their auction March 26, 2008. Unique Performance is the original company that built Eleanor Continuation Fastback and Convertibles in 2005. My intention was to build both but have never had the time to work on them. I have a restoration shop and the "shop cars" for some reason never get built, they just collect dust in the corner. So for this reason its time to let someone else have a shot at building their Eleanor dream car that is poised to go up in value being one of the very few original convertibles from Unique Performance. The roller dolly that was built for this car IS INCLUDED in the auction as well as an original windshield from Carlite in good condition with no cracks. All fiberglass parts shown in photos are included as well at a cost of over $2500 when new. They will need finish fitting as they are just prefitted. All of the metal is either new or original to the car that was rust free from California. This body is solid there are no rusted or rotten areas that need to be replaced just minor surface rust in some spots that were on it when delivered to me from Unique. There are several fiberglass body parts that DO COME WITH THIS AUCTION. The photos show the car as it is being sold with windshield, fiberglass flairs, fenders, nose cone, side exhaust. They were being test fitted by U.P. I purchased fiberglass fenders with the molded in fender flairs and nose. There are several metal body modifications that have already been completed by Unique Performance. These modifications are specific to the Eleanor cars. The metal fabrication completed by Unique Performance include: 1. Recessed metal on rear fender for pop open gas cap (unfinished on this car)2. Reinforced shock towers as well as many other seams, welded at the seams and thick metal plates added at the base of the shock tower (similar to Ford production CobraJet 428 cars). 3. Side Exhaust provisions cut thru frame and lower rocker4. Custom Roll Bar welded to frame5. Right shock tower tunnel for hose pass thru6. Cowl cutouts for engine heat dissipation7. Tail light panel cutout for Shelby lights8. Steering shaft tube welded into floorboard for rack and pinion steering. Fiberglass Parts from Unique Performance included:1. Side exhaust skirts 2.
