Vehicle Detail
Selling a real deal 1969 Z/28 with the original numbers matching DZ302. This car underwent a restoration around the turn of the century and has been driven since. This is not a trailer queen but rather an excellent running and driving legendary classic. The 302 is backed by a non-original Muncie M21 and lays power to the ground through the original 12 bolt posi rear with 4.10 gears. The trim tag decodes as follows: X33D80 - Z/28 with chrome exterior trim and spoilers711 - Standard black interior05E - Body build date 5th week of May 1969 (Consistent with the engine build and VIN)69 - Cortez Silver paint (Original color)B - Black vinyl top The engine build date is 05/16 and the VIN is stamped above the oil filter. This car is mostly original with a few modifications (Headers, battery, paint, transmission, and possibly some other items). The tires are even correct Z/28 Goodyear F70's with a brand new matching spare in the trunk. There is a short walkaround video posted on youtube if you search "the hunz z/28". Interested buyers should call Bryan 856.449.5005 with any questions prior to bidding on the car. I would prefer that you come and inspect it before the auction ends. As stated this is a driver and has some minor flaws. Known imperfections are: - Some paint nicks and a large paint issue on the driver door. I have received a quote to repaint the door and touch up the nicks for $300 from a local body shop, but they have yet to have time to get it scheduled. - The passenger side seat cover has some damage on the seat part. It appears that something was left on there and melted into the seat. There are no holes. - The parking brake indicator switch is missing. Ecklers has these for $20.00 and I will buy and install if I don't sell - Minor surface rust in the trunk. This appears to be from moisture that may have gathered under the trunk mat. A wire wheel should be able to clean this up easily and it doesn't appear to be anything to worry about. - The thermostat housing gasket needs to be replaced. I will likely have this fixed before I sell the car. Overall this is an excellent car that can (and should) be driven. On Apr-30-17 at 15:41:33 PDT, seller added the following information: The reserve has been lowered. Someone is very close to owning this legendary American muscle car.
