Vehicle Detail
This 1924 Ford Model T Tudor is one of the least expensive ways to get into the old car hobby. This original car has had three previous owners before me and has been garaged its whole life. The first owner was said to be a barn-storming pilot in the mid-west, the second owner was a postman in Davenport, Iowa, and the third owner bought it as his family car and had it for 52 years before I bought it and brought it to Connecticut in 2013. It is believed to have the original paint (except for the hood that was re-painted in 2013). The interior was nicely restored in 2014 with period-correct upholstery and carpeting. Otherwise the car is believed to be unrestored except for normal maintenance items. The top looks brand new. Plugs are new, carburetor is a rebuilt Holly NH, and manifold gaskets are new. The original tired engine was swapped with a 1922 rebuilt engine in 2013 for reliability. It has an electric starter, as do all 1924’s. It has been thoroughly gone over and it’s ready to go. This is the straightest, most solid Model T out there, no body filler or dents. It’s far from perfect and has normal wear and tear that you expect with an unrestored car. There is a BB hole in the rear glass window (see pictures) that adds character! 1924 was the second year that Model T’s had crank-up windows, which makes this a truly all-weather car. The Tudor seats 5 adults comfortably; great for the family and parades. Now is your time to enjoy the old car hobby at a modest entry price. This car is located in Gales Ferry, CT and is being sold on a Connecticut Bill of Sale.
