Vehicle Detail

I am the original owner, this bike is meticulously maintained, regularly cleaned and waxed. This motorcycle has NEVER been down, EVER. Always garaged. I am primarily a road rider with a rare hard pack dirt road. This motorcycle runs very well and sounds fantastic with Staintune Stainless Steel Exhaust System, the exhaust has a easily removable restrictor to switch between two different sound levels. This exhaust weighs approximately 8lbs less than the stock steel exhaust. I have always cleaned and lubed the chain very frequently, the chain & sprockets are in good condition and have plenty of life left in them. Front sprocket is 14 tooth, stock was 15 tooth, this is the most inexpensive performance modification you can make with ZERO effect on reliability. All fluids have been changed much more often than recommended; after engine break-in I've always used full synthetic engine oil, there are no leaks and the engine does NOT burn oil. I have installed extended vacuum line tubing that are approximately 3 ft. long from the throttle bodies take off ports, this addition significantly reduces the amount of time to do a throttle body sync and eliminates the headache of gaining access to the vacuum take off ports. Included in the sale is the Suzuki Factory Service Manual that is half as thick as a phone book. It covers '04 thru '09 DL650 V-Strom. Also included in the sale is the documentation for most, but not all of the accessories. Disclosure of what’s wrong: Left-hand Trax side case lock for the lid is missing the outer cover, the lock works fine, but will rotate 360 degrees as opposed to rotating only 90 degrees. Due to the large (48L) top case, the left side Trax bag lid can only be lifted up 4 inches when the Suzuki Top Case is attached. I purchased the motorcycle new with the ONLY the top case, 2 years later I added the Trax side cases. The top case can be removed in 5 seconds by unlocking it with the key. Lots of storage with the 48L top case, minor inconvenience. The right side Trax side case does not have this issue due to side rack is wider to accomodate the exhaust. The front fender has scratches on both sides of the fender behind the fork tubes. MAINTAINENCE: Michelin Anakee III tires were installed 1,000 miles ago, I always have tires installed by the dealer.Air Filter replaced at 7,005 mi.; cleaned 450 miles agoThe valve clearances have not been adjusted. Factory recommends doing this @ 15,000mi.The following items were done approximately 450 miles ago:Engine Oil: Red Line 10W40 (12th oil change, yes you read that right 12 oil/filter changes) Engine Coolant: Engine Ice (4th change) New Spark Plugs: (1st change) Fork Oil Change: Red Line 5wt. suspension fluid (3rd change) Throttle Body Sync Brake Fluid Flush: Galfer DOT4 (changed every 2 years, 4th flush) ACCESSORIES: The price I paid for all of options and accessories is over $5,100.
