Up for sale is my very nice, and original, 1986 VF500F. New tires, new battery, FULL service just completed including valve check/adjust, coolant change, clutch and brake fluid change, new brake pads, complete fork revalve/rebuild (by Lindemann Engineering). All this work would likely run you $1,000 at the dealer. The plastic shows signs of sun aging when you get up close, but in very good shape. The seat is perfect. Clear California title in my name. This is a very good original bike (that I put a lot of hours into mechanically) that will last you a lifetime. It is not a restored bike. If you are looking for a really nice vintage machine with an awesome V4 that you can ride to your favorite hangout then you won't be disappointed. The 1986 is the last of the line for the VF500F and also the best. The crank and top end problems that plagued the earlier years were all cleared up by '86. They were VERY expensive bikes back in the day and that is probably what caused production to cease. If you need the bike shipped to your location I'll make sure the bike gets on the truck safely.
