Vehicle Detail
NOTE: THIS CAR IS CLEAN BUT NEEDS ENGINE WORK BEFORE IT'S DRIVEABLE, YOU CAN'T JUST GET IN IT AND DRIVE IT HOME. JUST MAKING SURE YOU READ BELOW AND REALIZE FULLY WHAT YOU'RE BIDDING ON THANK YOU. Nice car, clean interior, have clean title in hand, front 2 tires 70% good tread on both, pass side slight dry rot in tread. Back 2 tires 30% and slight dry rot both. Will need a battery. Transmission works good never had a problem. As far as brakes I can't remember the brake rotor/pad/drum condition honestly, but I do know you'll need to replace a brake line that broke when it was parked a couple years ago. At that time it ran but was blowing steam out of the exhaust so I parked it. I'd changed the head gasket one year prior, but was on vacation with the family in Colorado and didn't have time to wait the three days to get the head reground nor a straight edge to check it, so I kept my fingers crossed that it wasn't warped... well, I guess it was, or there might've been a crack in the head not sure because the fix didn't last long but we were able to continue our vacation and it got us home from out west. I did change the waterpump at that time too just to be safe, and deemed the temperature sensor as the possible culprit that let it overheat in the first place. I rigged up a special temporary fan relay that's always on until I could check the temp sensor and circuit for sure but never got around to it. If you plan on fixing it, might be a good idea to just plan on pulling a good head from a junk yard to be safe. There's no water in the oil though and also no oil in the water, so the lower end should still be good. I put jumper cables on it today to make sure it will still start and it did crank and pop a few times but my truck battery's weak and trying to get that much amperage through the jumper cables alone with no battery in the car doesn't tell us much but if it tried to start even with that setup like it did, with a good battery in it I'm pretty sure it will start, but it'll be blowing steam from the gasket leak. The body paint is in excellent condition, nearly perfect all the way around except the two spots on the bottom rocker panels right under and behind the doors, see pics. Driver side has rusted through and passenger side is bubbled. Lights all worked, power sunroof worked fine, has a Sony stereo in it with auxiliary input plug in. A/C had a slow leak in it somewhere and prior to parking it, a can of freon in would get a week or two of cool air before it would quit again, not sure what it's condition is now though. So that's the best I know about it, anything I missed just ask. I priced the starting bid at what I can get out of it at the scrap yard, but it is a decent car worthy of being fixed to someone willing to put a little elbow grease and TLC in it. I don't smoke, nor let anyone smoke in it and pretty sure the prior owner was the same way. I just finally come to realize I really don't have the time to fix it, tired of paying the storage bill on it, and the deadline for my dock slip for my boat needs to be paid by April 13th or I loose it, so some quick cash for the car would help me, and you'll get a nice ride for cheap. Win win. This is a pickup only, no shipping and full payment needs to be within three days of auction end please. I have the title and prefer cash in hand when you pick it up so we're both safe but if you need longer than the three days to come get it, as long as you pay for it, it can sit for a week or two no problem pay pal in that case if you must would be fine. Thank you for your interest and good luck bidding!
